Stem bolt sizes
« on: October 20, 2009, 10:51:04 PM »
I have a militant ff complete, which has a really small stem, so the bolts are small to.  Does anyone know what size the bolts are?  One of mine broke so i have part of one of my old breaks screwed in there and I'd like to get a replacement bolt.  All I've seen is 8x1.25mm but I don't know how they're measured.  Any help would be great.  I'd hate to have to get a whole new stem.

KHE uses metric for their stuff, so 8x1.25 is probably what you need.  I buy my replacement bolts and such from my local OSH store.

Most stem bolts are 8mm, but its best to bring one of the bolts to the hardware store to check the thread size and type. Take the 2 bolts in your hands. A thread with a perfect match sinks into each other as you line up the threads, and a non matching thread will sit on top of the other thread.
