that's weird. the WAS a whole thread about linear being no good for front but fine for rear. and indeed it was something about the tight bends and kinking. but ukno what? use what ever the f u want. its a $10 serviceable part.

Except for the Nokon of course.......

If your running a tight bend around your fork, odyssey linear slic cables suck balls. They're too rigid. Nokon cables work wonderfully but they're also expensive. I've honestly gotten by with a 2.00 length of cable housing thats from Jagwire and a stainless steel cable with plenty of tri flow. It works great, it also helps to have your springs dialed into where you need them.

I can run 21" of Linear cable on a 7.5" bar w/ a 17mm spacer stack on Tanaka forks (exactly what I run my nokon at) and NEVER have a problem......and I don't use any lubricant on anything but my brake pivots.

The inner liner is Teflon w/ fiberglass for reinforcement, lubricant is unnecessary unless you are using a sh*t cable.
