Circle A frames
« on: March 05, 2007, 12:42:47 PM »
Ran into a friend at FDR yesterday.  He told me he just got a Circle A and he loves it.  Anyone else got one or have some pictures?

I currently ride a Circle A frame and it's just awesome.  These frames are far from normal though.   They use super strong tubing and are put together using the fillet brazing technique.  If Chapman sees this I'm sure he can post the details of it all.  I attached a picture of my Circle A bike and below are links to the process of building the frame.  All the frames are constructed and painted by Brian Chapman he also put together the nice gallery of pictures, so enjoy them.

That is hands down the nicest flatland frame I´ve ever seen. Reminds me very much of early 90´s "love to details MTB" (think Ibis, Mountain Goat...).

If it really is Mr. Chapman making these frames, hats off to you and I´ll seriously consider getting one.

Thanks!

My Specs are:

A friend of mine has a Circle A fixed gear bike (track bike, whatever you want to call it), and it is unbelievably nice.  I mean just stupid nice.  I can only assume that the bmx frames are of equal unbelievable quality.  And the whole philosophy of the company in general is very inspiring.  If I had too much money, I would definitely score one of those...

Speaking of $$$, if you don't mind me asking, how much did you drop on that astonishingly beautiful bike*, flatrelated?

* Seriously, that thing is so gorgeous I would almost be afraid to ride it...

If you're one of those who bitched about the price of Function frames, then you probobly dont want to know the price of these frames. Actually....I'm not sure there is a price yet. I will however be purchasing one in the future, regardless of the price.

yoo joe relax..i dont know if you are talking to me
i like the function frame if i was riding street..
19 tt is very long for me to ride flat on it and 2,400 kg is very heavy also..for nowdays
ohh i also forgot that this frame is custom so i can have it designed as i want for the tricks i do..
and also this frame looks much better than the function and you can t  even compare them..
you must also know that i have spend lot of money for frames so if something is worth it i save money and i buy it...
have a good day

LoveHate- you are right.  2,400kg is WAY too heavy for a flatland bike.

5.3 lbs isn't *that* bad, is it?  Heh.  Anyway, I have an email in to the Circle A guys asking about prices and turnaround time.  No idea if they'll actually get back to me though.
