This IS crazy short notice...but if you've ever met or seen Heck Dang, you know this is going to be an impossibly good time.  Paul C. is also helping run it, and he's one of the nicest, most likeable people ever.  The good vibes alone are worth dropping what ya got and getting out there if you can. 100% cash payout too.  word.

Yesterday was super fun...more like a BMX party than contest.  Super laid back atmosphere.

It sucks that I think I sprained my wrist though.  Actually, a few riders were riding injured.

Thanks for the DVD George!  Get well soon!  Your ankle looked gnarly.

Yeah, this sums up the whole day.  And a few 40's for me.  I totally missed the "players" because I was outside goofin off.

Jim, what was the guys name that won "players"?  He was riding a 24inch cruiser, and won the am class.  Only in ATX...

And congrats to Adam DiClaudio for winning "slayers".

That was the amazing Cullen that won Players. The guy has a LOT of talent. Slayers class was absolutely sick. Those guys threw everything out there. Congrats Adam!

Yeah, I bugged him about coming out to the OG some.  He really doesn't ride flat to much anymore, but really wants to get back into it.  And I told David Laracca(sp?) and John Yull they need to come out more too.

Have you meet John?  Really nice guy...and also a very skilled rider.  Can you say, "quad decades"?

Oh, and I'm sure Mark will edit a video of the days riding.  Did you get a DVD from George?  If not, I'll bring my copy for you to check out.

I said hello to the guy on the red bike and he just walked away. Don't know if that's John tho. lol?

Oh, he probably just didn't hear you.  You are a pretty quiet guy.  And he is English, maybe he just didn't understand your English...LOL.  He was pretty cool with meeting me...and I had never met him before.

What did you think of the riders being the judges of other riders?  Do you think that would work at a bigger contest?  Did you like it as a judging format?

I thought the format worked. The floor was extremely challenging to ride on, but I still saw some of the best contest riding that I've seen from these guys-BANGER LINES! It was fun, loose, the crowd was way into it.  I also liked the structure of just truly jamming and not having a set order and structure. It was a blast to watch.  Having the riders pick the winner seemed to work well this time.
