I've already put a release of liability on a letterhead, aswell as written a letter asking for permission to ride. I will call the property owners today! There's really no reason they shouldn't comply, and I will eff with the cop alot more before showing him that slip Hopefully he'll even put me in the back of his squad car.

He's disgraceful. Stuff like this makes me so angry. Congrats on how you dealt with him, applying logic to the situation, and the video itself was terrific, with all those explanations clearly framing the confrontation in a civil liberties context. I hope you don't get hassled again.

Okay, i'm going to break this up a bit.  I will give you props for not letting the pigs get you down, as I hate them too...but you really should count yourself lucky.  I am speaking from experience.  You see, i've got a pretty long rap sheet...spent about five years in prison, and a lot of it stems from my disdain of "authority".  What I saw in the video, was you cussin' up a storm and you were pretty hostile towards the pigs.  Yes, the cop was being a d*ck...but then he isn't breaking the law by being a d*ck.  I meet d*cks all the time...pigs, or not.  In my experiences dealing with law enforcement(and i've had too many), I would have ended up in jail and received a good beating by Officer C*ck Sucker.  I know, I have been in a fist fight with a cop, and it isn't a fair fight.  They will taser you, beat you with a billy club, and shoot your ass.  You might think they can't get away with sh*t like this...but they can.  They are corrupt as sh*t, and it doesn't end there.  The whole f*cking legal system is corrupt, and a judge will usually find a cop innocent of any wrong doing. 

The only reason I bring this up, is because I don't want to see anyone get hurt for just riding their bikes.  People will commend you(I do!) for standing up to bullsh*t authority, but just realize that sometimes there are re-actions to your actions.  You have to be willing to suffer the consequences if you make a stand.  I still will talk sh*t to a cop, but I also realize that I could being doing more time or end up with a nasty beating.

All i'm saying is be careful out there...

I was so close 2 getting a ticket from 4 different cops in my town for riding at a public beach next to a public restroom. now they put up signs that say no bikes. and the cops told me they have a ordinance but that was made up!!!!! If I did get a ticket then I would hang it up on the wall!
