Federal Freecoaster ANYONE?
« on: November 22, 2008, 06:53:12 PM »
Federal Freecoaster Hub 14mm anyone?....
I'm thinking to get the 3/8 axle but i have to use the 14mm-3/8 axle adapter washer...  Was hoping to avoid that. Does this have removable  axle studs?for 3/8 or 14mm replacement? [collor}

I'm waiting on my debit card . ..they said 2 weeks :(

can this withstand street abuse... is the question.

the federal is a 1pc axle. your best bet is to get the 14mm on danscomp or maybe its on FF but im not sure. i know a 3/8 axle will hold up to some pretty tough street, i could do some pretty rough gaps and i think i jumped an 8 stair with no problem. if 10mm can hold up in the front, you should be fine with it in the rear

The 3/8" version of the Federal hub on flatlandfuel uses the KHE Geisha axle and removeable studs so you can change it to 14mm if you would like. The 14mm version of the hub costs $20 less and uses the one piece 14mm axles.

Pat.   ,   Can you get the 14mm axle studs for me if i get sick of the 3/8?

Does the 3/8 have adjustable slack?  Or only the 14mm?

yes, we always have the studs in stock. You can also change to the one piece 14mm axle also. Hub has adjustable slack.
