GT show build, (lots of pics)updated 11/23
« on: November 12, 2008, 04:32:55 AM »
My brother sent me his show frame since he doesn't ride anymore, so I strip the original chipped paint to it's bare aluminum.  I usually do paint and body work on Cars but I aways wanted to do a frame so here is my chance. This will be my second Show and I know it's a little excessive but who cares. ;D Comments and sh!t talking are welcome.

So far no Cracks!!! it's good to go

Masked off the BB and HT and sanded it down with 400 grit.

Primered it with a 2 stage catalyst primer and wet sanded it after.

Now for the paint!!! Blaze Orange metallic.  I'm also a honda freak so I picked my favorite car color.

Base coat

finishing with 3 layer of clear( hopefully, it wont weigh it down too much)

More too Come
UPDATED 11/23 I couldn't help it but I wanted to ride so I put it my bike together without my new spocket.

ARES U.S plastic bottom Thank You Scott O. for getting these for me.

the orange is very nice.  the close-ups on both sides of the head tube give the best impression of the paint work.

well done !!!   ;D

Nice, I've got a few shows and love the way they look.  Good luck finding any Factory Decals if that's what you're looking for?

Nice orange color to, I bet the photo's do nothing for the actual sparkle to it..

Nah, I'm just going to take off my old parts of my current show. Parts are expensive now a days.
