julian i think the net worth of traveling with money
or any type of coins/money is $100,000.00 before
you have to register and i believe 2 pounds of pure silver
coins will not go over that amount..not near it as silver
does not fetch that much and gold goes for what now $345
a pound or something like that....so no worries matey

tis a pirates chest you want
aye mates
go to the pirate's jam
and receive your treasure chest.

down polly..get off me
darn parrots!!

Sounds like you know more than me Scotty!!! Is that you Scott O'Brien?? im presuming it is, more jams will definitely help grow "your" scene, and bring more riders into the flatland scene, the states seem to be ahead of the game in that respect, what with the intrikat jam, final exam jam, this pirate jam (even tho its a contest), york jam, etc etc.
I hope to get some jams rolling over here in the UK next year.
Hopefully hear more about this system at intrikat jam....

I most certainly am Mutt, be my third year at the intrikat jam, personally think the jams are way better reflection of what flatland is about than the contests these days.

yeah it is but we still need a national contest series
and maybe a few jams also on top of that as some like
to hit jams and not deal with contests etc.....

4 contest national series and then have 3 flatland
jams and have the jams and contests rotate so it
is way kickback and relaxed...i think 7 national contests
and jams a year will be good as that is just under every two
months that one of these happen...enough time in between..

what you think cat man do

definitely a good idea mutt, what flatland misses contest wise is like a ranking, the media cant get ahold of flatland because its so unique, so maybe you have to do a few things that i would consider "cheesy" but essential to attract sponsors, like whos the no 1 rider for 2006, etc etc, you look at golf, tiger woods, do you know what i mean, right now its close in terms of rankings between Justin and Martti im guessing, they shared most contest winds this year, so it would be good to showcase the winner, and that rivalry between them id a good thing for flatland, the media love that kind of thing, they kinda thrived off it with dave mirra and jay miron on espn for years, i mean i thinks its cheesy but its def not sold out, and getting flatland out to a bigger audience is the most essential thing.

hey, i think u discuss to much..talk to much..just react and do anything. i mean i´ve heard the same stuff from some of you for years now and when i look to uk or us i don´t see any steps in the right direction.(only a few like vodoo) no event with continuity the whole year etc. maybee one or two bigger contests but just once a year.

i think lot of people don´t know what they want for flatland. u guys have to think about it. do u want flatland become bigger and recognized by the mass media or u want to  "keep it real" and be underground for the next 200 years.
if u want the first accept that u have to work hard and not just talk in forums...

Easy Flo, if that directed at me, heres my reply:

I've contributed with over thirteen years of helping organise flatland contests @ the King of Concrete which is more than anyone i know of, not to mention helping with the Urban Games, and nass here in the Uk, pay attention Flo! I have worked my ass off for flatland,  but i take your point that you can talk to much on these forums, but i think it is healthy to have some debate on here and good things come out of these forums.
I struggle with what i want for flatland, at the moment i feel the jams are more important than the contests.
