trouble with the rideout of forward steamroller
« on: August 22, 2009, 07:27:41 PM »
Im pretty new to flatland (5 months). I've been working on forward steamrollers for a little over a month and im starting to consistently make the initial seat catch. I can then roll for a pretty long time but i am not even close to being able to bring the frame back around and setting it back on the ground.

every time i put my foot down on the ground and have to basically stop the bike.

any tips??

Set the back on the ground first, then just lean/turn to the left a little bit and let the bike's momentum swing the back back around.

Note: That probably doesn't look as cool as bringing the frame back up like you described without the wheel touching, but it's probably the way everyone first learned steamrollers.

set the back down on the ground but off to the right side. keep the front straight and youll eventually go around the back and put your right leg on the peg or pedel. at fist youl keep falling to the side but just practice it. one more tip, lean slightly to the right
