Check out www.epitonic.com for free independent music (all kinds).  I've downloaded a bunch of ambient/downtempo songs and put them on my iPod as my flatland playlist.

i got lotrs of random stuff. Dragonforce (i have some df lyrics written on my handlebars), The Sounds, Arch Enemy, Bob Dylan, pretty much anything that gets me pumped. Danzig - Mother i reckon is a pretty good song to time a run to and my level.

Dragonforce - is pretty awesome to ride too the guitairing is mentally fast.
Metallica - Lars has to be one of the best drummers alive.
Disturbed - Really Liking their lyrics atm
Some older stuff like Led Zep, Queen & Dylans new album is great, Aerosmith
I like Slipknot too, Joey is another amazingly fast drummer & the shouting kinda pumps me up.
As does KoRn & i kinda look like Jonathon Davis lol.

My music taste vary quite abit, Still prefer the heavyier stuff, will listen to most things. Not too interested in gangstar rap pop a cap in your ass & F**k you beeatch type crap though. I like better Rap like 2pac Biggie & JayZ

I Like House, espeacielly the stuff with vocals and 70's Disco Samples.....So what can you recommend?

Dimitri From Paris - A Night at the Playboy Mansion

Check that out! Full of funky disco music mixed together to a nice 68 min album.
Then of course DJ Shadow, RJD2, Nujabes have some nice tracks.

For rock music I recommend this japanese band called The Pillows. They have some great and happy songs, with lot of instrumental stuff.

And for chilly/mellow tracks some Cinematic Orchestra, Telepopmusik and maybe a few Joe Hisaishi's movie soundtracks.

Oh, and of course The Go! Team has a very fun album. Check some of their songs here (especially Junior Kickstart!):
