I hate knees!! I messed up a pinky-whip nearly 3 months back, dislocated my knee, and won't be riding for 3 more weeks. Thats 3 months total of NO RIDING..!! 2 weeks on crutches, 4 more weeks of keeping my knee straight, on doctors orders, only to be told by a specialist when going for an MRI, that I should've started physio straight away, after it happened. He told me there and then, after a few physical tests, that I havent torn anything, and to start physio. 3 weeks on, I have strength and full range of motion in my knee, but waiting 3 more weeks, to get stronger quadricep muscles through gym work, and lose some tenderness in the joint that's still lingering. I suspect a bruised knee bone, which can linger for up to 12 months. So when I ride again, it's straps and patella-supporting brace for me. And to boot, I put on 5 kilos from doing nothing but play XBox and eat junk food literally EVERY day. Not to mention kilos of lost muscle, since I wasn't pumping iron at all, either.
I HATE INJURYS..!!
