booby trap bike
« on: July 30, 2008, 04:27:02 AM »
I want to set up a bike..nice and shiny..but something tweaked on it so its a death trap

I will leave it in my yard and random places and watch from a distance..when the theif takes off i will start a high speed pursuit..watch as the bike blows up and the theif eats sh*t at high speed..

my idea is to cut a sh*tty pair of forks in half at the steer tube ,but hold them together with a pvc pipe..when the theif hits a bump at speed- goodbye teeth

any ideas for a deathtrap bike?

leave the front wheel loose(no nuts at all)

cut the steerer tube then hold it together with a sticker

put the cranks/ wheel on backwards so when he goes to take off it freewheels and he faceplants it.

cut the bars by the levers(on both sides) the cover with a sticker.  one jump or ride down a curb should do it!

need any more? ;D

I love this idea!

I'll donate parts, just for a video of this.

I say if you've got a pivotal seat, stick a pushpin inside the hole and glue it down.

Cut the bars 3/4 of the way from the bottom up so you dont immediately see anything

Loosen the nuts on the pedals. Dont take them completely off.

Make jagged edges on everything.

id be sure to set it up on a hill, so that they try to ride it down hill. you could also set up a brake with a cut wire, but perfectly in tact housing.
