squeakers
« on: July 24, 2008, 04:03:36 AM »
ok to ne it seems almost impossible to get my foot on top of the tire when trying squeakers. i always end up scuffing the tire on the side with the inside of my shoe. if i try to do it on top like it seems like everyone else does i end up messing up or my heel will hit the sprocket. anybody else have this prob? i try to have the bike to one side to give me more room but it never fails on hitting the sprocket. also whats a tip on how to stop rotating into a forkglide i always go to much

Do you have big feet?  Well, I wear a size 12 and learned over the years on squeekers, is just turn your foot as if you pigeon-toed.  Real simple to get used to.

How long have you been trying them?
Go Big or Go Home or go a little bit smaller cos it might hurt, you might graze a knee and then what would your mother say.

I scuff them with the inside of my foot as well. You are the only other person I've heard of that does them this way.

What's the point of keeping your foot straight? If someone's comfortable doing them one way, then it will only hinder their progress to try them in a less comfortable position.

Does my lil animation help?? :)

BTW squeekers isn't a scuffing trick. Your kicking the tire and not dragging your foot on it. :)

Great glad to hear that!

Maybe if you can change the subject to squeakers so if someone searches this thread will come up easy. It could help someone else out down the road maybe?? :)

Keep it up, you'll get it!
