Rain Riding
« on: July 09, 2008, 11:20:29 PM »
I watched Terry's rain scene the other day (Thanks huffman for the video), and I got super pumped to go riding. Yesterday it started raining while I was riding, and I was like you know what screw this, I don't want to go home.  I'm stayin to ride.  I actually rode better than normal, and tried stuff I've never tried before.  I think the rain just gave me a whole different feeling of riding, and I tried to branch out my style.

Nothing groundbreaking in this post.  I just wanted to express how different riding atmospheres cause you to ride differently.  Also it felt good riding in rain, if you haven't done it, you should try it once.

I ride in rainy / wet conditons.
seems like it rains on and off here in FL all the time
leaving puddles to navagate thru and or the ocasional shower to ride in.

it feels crazy to me if I dont get to ride at least every other day,  usualy every day tho,
I feel all caged up and un satisfied if I go longer than 48 hours no riding the bike.

I have altho - learned to not carve anything with my 1/2 worn primo comets in the wet.
those things slide out crazy given the slightest moisture to them.

frequency g's arnt so bad in the wet tho.

I would really like riding in rain.....if i could

I can't do any of my tricks 100% if rain starts,i'm always slipping and falling down/bailing.I cant even pump a Steamroller without slipping from the pegs.So Rainriding is an absolutly non-sense for me personally.

But if you can do it : Congratulations.I really begrudge you about that one

We're going through a heatwave in Cali right now - the whole f*cking state is on fire to add so I'm breathing smoke constantly. I wish it would rain here - we had a dry winter and somebody smiling with dental braces can set a whole forest on fire.

As much as I love riding BMX, when the rain comes, the 20" goes in the garage and out comes the dirtbike.

the next masters, flatring should be outside in the rain, or even in acid rain.. now that's a real competition.
