I've had really good luck with Adio and I tried a pair of OSIRIS and these Osiris wear like steel.

I like softer gummy +/- kinda tread pattern for the soles.

It's really whatever you're comfortable in... I don't think anyone particular shoe is the best shoe period to use. Some people got wider feet higher arches flat foot whatever ya know.

I've ridden some Konkrete. They were nice, not too large, fitted well.
Then I switched to my current Lakai. Larger, heavyer. Doen't like 'em that much.
I'll probably try some Vans or Dc's this summer.

when i'm practicing i wear my old beat up pair of circas' and my old beat up pair of es'.

my circa's say 'commited to skateboarding' on the bottom strip so i just wrote 'NOT' in front of it with a sharpie.

I like the DC's made for skating, not their club lounge poser line that has no padding.  I especially like the ones where they have different durometers of rubber on the toe, mid-section and heel.

I ride in some Adidas Comptown ST's and they are holding up really well.  Only thing that sucks is the paint on them rubs off onto my bike so I have to clean it off all the time.

I wore a pair of osiris shoes and they lasted me like 4 and a half months, then they both got holes in the bottoms of em, i do a lot of foot jams though...I just picked up some zoo york shoes yesterday and im gonna see how long they last when i get my bike put together...But it ultimately is up too you cause all shoes are gonna wear down eventually and theres alot of shoes out there, just start trying diffrent pairs till you find one that fits ya good and has enough rubber on the bottom to last ya...

Adidas Superstar II. Perfect in all ways: grippy, tough and wear slow and not too expensive

I liked to wear shell toe adidas,   mostly for the toe protection, when doing
foot jam tricks,   hate the feeling of smushed up toes up in there.

also wanting to try vans - half cabs for the ankle protection of a mid top shoe.
I always some how manage to smack the ball of my ankles with a peg.

right now im rocking some skateboard ish converse shoes.   are working ok
but soles are a bit hard rubber - last a long time - but not super awesome for quick scuff,   but work great for scuff/drag tricks like front yard.

I did finaly get to try some vans half cabs.
they suck.
I tried 2 pairs just to see.   I mean I like them and all,  but the sole of the shoe is verry soft,
meaning if you jump and land hard on your pegs,   the shoe will allow your arches of the feet to become bruised and battered.      way too soft of a shoe for my flatlanding needs.

right now im using a set of etnies.
sole is medium soft,  I can still feel the peg under me,  but my foot does not feel like its
completely wraping around the peg like it did in my vans half cabs.
