pretty much any flatland tricks can be done on any bikes.
its just alot harder to manage on a bike with geometry that
is not correct for flatlanding.

tricks to learn.
mega spin.
peg wheely
fire hydrant
fork glide
half lashes
and one day I will finaly learn how to do mc circles
ive been riding flatland for a bit over a month now.

most important parts -   pegs.
gyro if you run rear brakes
flatland specific bars and stem. ( 26 to 35mm reach )
front brakes help alot when learning
the rest is just preference.

btw -  black rims usualy blow for brakes.  chrome is the way to go.
Old dudes can still rip

DO NOT GET A Signal!!!! I just can't stress that enough, I mean ya it's a fine bike but there's no real great parts on it that don't need to be upgraded. Within a year or so you will need to upgrade alot of those parts and spend a great deal of money. So you might as well start with a great bike like WTP Metric or OG Balance 3. Personally I started with a Metric and I just upgraded brakes, grips, bar ends, and frame (coming soon) and I don't plan on upgrading anything else ever.

check out this website; it's where most everybody buys most of their stuff from in the US. buying from there will give you good, tested parts. you can make mental notes of things that jump out and try to get them used if new is not an option. anyways, it's a good way to get familiar with what's available. a good deal is great, but be wary of being "cheap" with parts. buying quality will not only last longer, but will also be more possible to re-sell should you not like it.

Yea, but there's quality than there's lightweight Pro parts.
