filming yourself is a pain in the ass... it's not like regular riding where you just keep trying stuff until you hit it. You have to set up the camera, make sure you've got your space in-frame, start the camera, mess up link, stop the camera, start camera, mess up link, stop camera, start camera (repeat until you hit link, start over), maybe review the footage in the field if you can... it's just not like a session at all. And if you're alone and in certain areas, you also have to look out for people who may think there's a free camera just sitting there for the taking. Mechanical problems and/or lingering injuries make things suck even more.
