I think that there are about 200 riders in Moscow who ride flatland, and only about 50 who take it seriously... but nobody really knows, how much are there in reality =))

So... the situation in competitions:
there are usually two groups: amateurs and pros... so there are about ten amateurs (may be less and more people) and about  seven pros...
Under "seriosly" I mean people who really try to learn new tricks and realy fond of flatland... and about 150 who own flatland bike and I don't know what they do)... the situation in this case is pretty bad...
No, usually we do not ride all together, everyone rides at his own local spot but, of coure, not alone... and there are some spots where you can allways meet some flaters, just spots where everyone hook up... and there are many days when lots of flaters just ride all together... here have a look))

ha
wow that must be a mad scene over there in moscow
i would come over and check it out
but im not into communists countries or was communists
country. i am sorta scared to go over there as i know it is
still not good over there and alot of crime and stuff going on.
i dont know if you are aware that the alot of us USA people think
russia going back to communists with PUTIN slowly but surely
with is authority rule and all. I AM NOT INTO POLITICS BUT
OTHERS I CAN NOT SAY THEY ARE NOT EITHER AND THAT IS
WHAT I AM AFRAID OF.

IT LOOKS LIKE A PRETY GOOD SCENE GOING ON THERE AND
MAYBE YOU COULD GET RIDERS TOGETHER TO RIDE ALOT
MORE LIKE HAVING EVERY SATURDAY SESSIONS AT ONE SPOT
THAT CAN HAVE 20-30 RIDERS THERE AT ONE TIME. THAT WOULD
BE A GOOD THING FOR YOUR SCENE LIKE WHAT THE L.A. RIDERS
AQRE DOING EVERY SATURDAY NIGHT THERE.

I must say that after visiting England I understood that Moscow nowadays is like lots of others modern european cities, and crime level in not higher than in US... I even thought that it is much lower...
I think this is not connected with political situation... communists or no, everything depends on how mind of PEOPLE, not GOVERNMENT is made...

i dont know
i just would not feel comfortable
knowing how backwards it was and still is
and i been thru most of all europe.

it is not even close to europe standards as i know
alot of moscowians still live without alot of utilities
and stuff other europeans live with and there is high crime
as i do read articles and do alot of reading so you cant tell
me that is not true.

I WOULD LOVE TO COME OVER AND CHECK OUT YOUR
SCENE THO AND DO YOU GUYS HAVE ANY 3-4 STAR HOTELS
THERE IN MOSCOW NEAR YOUR RIDING SPOT AS I ONLY STAY
IN THE NEAR BEST HOTELS. I DONT WANT TO STAY WITH RIDERS
AS I KNOW MOST OF THE PEOPLE HAVE 4-5 PEOPLE IN ONE OF THE
TWO BEDROOM APARTMENTS SO I DONT WANT TO MAKE THINGS
WORSE. by the way time magazine and some others have articles
on moscowians and how they live and it was just within a
year these articles came out...that are my sources.
