Title: Travis Collier Macneil Frame
Post by: Mr News Bot on November 15, 2007, 09:20:14 PM
Travis Collier´s Macneil signature frame was already discussed in the forum last week. We asked Travis for some more information and here is what he can say so far:

This is the first prototype of my Macneil frame. Ive been testing it for the past few weeks. Its pretty dialed so far and the setup is amazing. We are shooting to get it out for our spring 2008 order, but nothing is official yet. As soon as everything is nailed down and ready to go for production, we´ll have full specs up on the Macneil site. Lots of trips coming up so keep checking www.macneilbmx.com for updates. Travis

i don't think he would make a complete. he seems more of an all around rider, which is awesome.
but i don't think macneil even makes completes to begin with.

Are you being sarcastic?  I hope so.  There's this thing called freestyle where you can do whatever the hell you want.  Have you heard of it??

i'd rather have freestyle than god, but i'm afraid it works the same way after all

quite right about the girly trousers though

just got an email from them
The frames shipped early in the week so they should be here in two weeks or so depending on customs clearance. As for the specs.

19.5” top
13.5” rear
75º head
71º seat tube
About 4.2lbs

Hope that helps, make sure that if you want one you preorder it as they are going to be in limited supply.
Darc.

Old thread, I know, but I just ordered mine last night before bed, and I woke to find an email saying it has already been shipped..!!  Yay!   So for those who have one already, whats your opinion on the frame..??   My main reason for getting one is that I'm 6'0, and my 18.8tt frame was just a little too small, I felt.  Also, I'm throwing my Odyssey triple-wall Hazard Lite on the back, for more counter balance weight.    Should make those multi-whips easier to come by :)  lol

I got mine the other day.  Doing 2 more weeks of Physio on my bad knee, going on holidays to Thailand for a week, then back to build my bike..!!  I 'm putting a Tuffneck Roller-Coaste ron the back wheel, 48h, with my Hoffman Triple-wall rim, for weight.   JUGGERNAUT, have you got pics of your finished bike yet..?? Post up!

You'll love it, Spizike.   Well, if ur a tall guy like myself, you will.    These days, bikes are getting too light and too short, making for a sketchy ride for average blokes like ourselves.  The Mac-TC, when built up, offers great counter balance of a lot of tricks where short, light bikes normally have you relying totally on your own balance, rather than using the bikes counter-weight.
