Title: Jon Reyes Scooter Flat Edit 4
Post by: Mr News Bot on January 25, 2014, 01:49:11 AM

Everyone loves scooters right? I have no idea if you'll love this, hate this, or have conflicted emotions whilst watching. One thing is true, I've never seen a plastic man on a scooter, and this video has that, and a ton more flatland-influenced moves. Enjoy!

Please take this off the main page of Global-Flat.  This nowhere close to the level of difficulty of flatland with a bike and has no place on this website.

Seems pretty hard to me.
I think they should leave it up.
It's a webpage with a video.
and it has some relation to flatland

Thing i dont get with scooter riders. And this is from the guys ive spoke to that ride. Is they can get to a level where there pretty good and doing what i guess in the scoot world as awesome tricks. And most of them get to that level by 16.
They come to turning 18 and seem to disappear and forget riding anything all together.

Why don't they just progress to a bike, it would seem the thing to do right?
Like the scoot rider for nitro circus who just did the front flip front bike-flip.
If they just progressed to a bmx they could offer something new to bmx
I helped one kid on a scooter set up a bike because i saw him trying to ride flat on his scooter and doing quiet well. He got a bmx and couldn't do any of the tricks he was doing with ease on a scooter and he quit everything all.
together.

And this is why i dont really like this scooter thing.

I try and keep an open mind for things out side my everyday dealings but I agree with most of the post in this thread so far. While watching, I tried to be positive by acknowledging the skill, and then honesty kicked in, and I thought:

1. Ive seen 12 year old kids at the skate park doing some of these tricks on transitions.

2. It's a razor.

Pretty good. As long as it is flatland related and it doesn't bother me riding it's okay not to delete it.

I like the video. Let's stay open minded. Of course it is not flatland, and it might be less difficult, but it is interesting. I would also watch a freestyle skateboard video, why not?

I also like to watch freestyle skateboarding (and any skating for that matter, especially Jimmy Carlin) but skateboarding takes real skill.  So I can admire and respect skating.

The comments on this board are somewhat confusing to me.  Why take this video down?  It is flatland specific as in tricks are being performed on a two wheeled vehicle.  If we take down this than we need to remove all videos of riders who ride with no cranks.  The comment about that bikes and skateboards takes real skill is implying that what this guy is doing on a scooter takes little to no skill and obviously that is not true.  Hopefully he moves these skills to a bike but all the same it was cool to see that tricks invented on a bike have grown out into other sports.  I ride the skatepark with my 10 year old and there are some kids there who do insane things on a scooter, I dont hound them for riding one, it beats them sitting at home on there PS4 all day thats for sure.

I was impressed, by the fact its flatland. Yeah ok on a scooter but I watch flatland on skateboards too. But I can see why people want it down, it is a BMX site but still props for the tricks in it.

P.S I am a crankless rider... but not by choice.

It's not going to be taken down. It's a video and it's not the end of the world if it's not universally loved. It's already buried beneath a number of BMX posts anyways. To me, it's more of a novelty than anything. I thought people might get a kick out of seeing how much flatland influence this kid has. Nothing more.

Hey JM, glad you posted it.  This is a flatland site and so the more the merrier.  If it is flatland related than post it.  I do not believe the word flatland only refers to BMX.

This was refreshing to watch.  Did anyone else notice in the credits that he thanked each person who purchased his signature deck (I'm guessing this is the scooter equivalent to a frame?)
