Title: Ko-ichi aka Forkone | One Night Edit | Japan
Post by: Mr News Bot on September 29, 2012, 07:35:21 PM

Very interesting edit here from Ko-ichi; creativity both in bike setup and riding. It's a curious hybrid of old- and new-school, using an "interesting" bike setup. What do you think?

i love japanese riders !

the word that always comes to my mind is "open-minded". they're all about FREE-style, and that's what is so interesting about them.

Flatlanding on a bmx with a fixed gear or a bar like that (I mean with the cross bar coming from the same tube than the grip tubes) has already been done few years back (Trevor Meyer, Shintaro Misawa), but that's against the trends in 2012 so that's pretty cool!!
And the riding is dope!!
The editing is nice too
and the fact that the rider is wearing large jeans (baggy style) these days adds some good nice flavors to the mix!

This is killing me, WHERE IS THAT BASSLINE from? It's instantly recognisable, yet I am
unable to place where I (and anyone else from my era) knows it from.

Very cool edit. Much based around his own attitude rather than on modern trends. Some grown-up mind for me which is pretty rare these days... Ohh forgot he`s from Japan :)

Refreshing take on some really old tricks!  His bike is, well, his bike.  Nicely done!

Thank you SO much for that, it was driving me insane.

However, I have never even heard of Luniz (as far as i can remember... )

So I suspect I only remember the song from another flatland video from years ago... I wish
I had the mental capacity to back that thought up.

I blame the weed.

You may well be right sir.

Alas I cannot spend any more time racking my lacklustre brain on the matter
because I am starting to suspect it is I who am discombobulated by my own memories.
