Title: Deep "changes name" to Autum bikes...
Post by: Rad255 on November 06, 2011, 05:44:11 AM

All the Deep bike parts are made by Autum now... same stuff, just now apparently only soft goods are made under the Deep name.
Anyone know why a company might have to do something like this?

They have new frames.. that Razzia looks sweet. Their griptape pegs look great as well.

Maybe it has something to do with Frank Lukas, since he's no longer part of Deep? Don't know?

The Blitz seems to be a bit revised now (different dropouts w/ integrated chain tensioners, curved CS/SS bridges, no etched logo on the headtube, etc.).

Are you sure it wasn't Autism they were trying to spell?

It would have made more sense as its a play on the trick name "spastic".

Those bars are honestly ugly as f*ck and the design is lost on me , still trendy wankers seem to be buying them up atm.

I have the blitz frame (and the escobar) They are very pretty and very well made.
Also I'm not a trendy wanker. Why be such a cock about it?

How wide was the spacing on those blitz frames again?

Lol, well there is that. Just need to put a tensioner on the inside.
I guess the spacing would be normal on the new version. With the integrated tensioner and all.

ORLY? coming from someone who has a trendy never ridden street bike for sale and a never ridden flat frame for sale id say you may qualify for trendy wanker .(http://legacy-cdn.smosh.com/smosh-pit/032011/come-11.jpg)

"frame for the flatland rider with a street attitude"
... ugh, really? I guess they hired whoever ran GT's 80's marketing campaigns to spearhead the Autum launch.

I guess writing "Frame for Trendy McSkinnyJeans" wasn't the best approach.

Street attitude? haha wtf is that? round here that means sit around ramps talking about parts and fashion and never riding ever .Fingers crossed for the next release a frame for the flatland rider with a cottaging attitude.

Oh I see I have misjudged you. Clearly yours are the words of truth.
I'm not going to explain to you why I have a bike and a frame for sale.
I will just say this: I ride every day. I ride for fun and nothing else.
Also I have been riding since I was a teenager which is a long time ago.

Quite why it's not OK for me to take offence to your comment is beyond me.
It's not like I'm going to come out with something like: 'Everyone who rides a KHE is a c*nt'
Get over yourself mate. Be nice for a change.

I think it was a pretty good idea to make the 3 different ranges. I like all the stuff personally.

It's very cool! I have the blue blitz so will have to get one to match.
They are not out until December.
There are a few sites listed That should be stocking the new parts.

I have emailed them too to see if I could buy direct.
I will let you know what they say.

I always thought the Blitz looked just like a Quamen Delta with a Haro Shredder style gusset at the Toptube/seat tube.  Who actually makes them?  Forever Machine Ltd?
