Any one that has already been, is there any hotel that is a better deal/ place than the other?

I went last year and it blew my mind how good it was. The venue itself is even beyond belief. If I remember correctly there are a couple hotels more or less across the street, but I can't remember if there was a large price difference between the two.

Just booked two rooms at the Days Inn for this.  Don't even care that its a 24h drive from Ottawa, making the trip regardless.

Hopefully the weather up north gets a bit better and allows me and the rest of the team to get some much needed practice in before we head down for this.

what is the standard to be in the veteren class,I cannot afford masters, but would do vet, or expert ,but I wnet into masters at flight a year ago got last, I don't know if i went into the wrong class or not ,but I would do expert, or vet,Not trying to go back to expert,I thought it was all 50 ,missing work ,it's hard enough ,to cover the trip, pleas any honest opionions, would be appricaiated........

^ The curve for veteran should be fairly steep this year, age be damned. So i wouldnt worry about you feeling like a sandbagger in vet if you really want to compete in it.

Got to hang out and watch several pros ride tonight...Matthias, Terry, Wilhelm, Moto...and several others who ranged from intermediate up.

Matthias blew a tire while sitting on his bike after riding for a while, it sounded like a gunshot...scared several of us briefly, and ended up getting a lot of laughs.  Some amazing riding went down, for sure.

Can't wait for tomorrow.  Gotta get my new HD camera setup figured out; hoping someone can help me.
