I just wanted to see how thin it is :P
-
I've also run them...they're a little dicey. I guess I wouldn't recommend them for most people.

an what did u gain from that?

Mare. Why don't you f*ck off?
-
yo those are fast tires..
i was riding like flash at some point when i had them.
you need good griping floor and lot of more practise to maintain tricks with those..
they are going much faster for turbine tricks but sometime you end spinning with those withou wanting..
you should stick to a bigger tire i think.
-
Those are rather slippery compared to other tires, but light and fast. If you ride concrete surfaces, those are not the best choice. Asphalt - they are great.
-
crazy thin you must spin like madness :D

why? i just want to know why is so important to him how thin the tire looks? dont want to argue im just curious, so chill man
-
wow those tires look super light
-
well i'm glad for the post -i was curious about these tires too cuz i found 'em for pretty cheap. I'm on a tight budget and they sure as hell look like they beat the old dry rot walmart tires i'm running now God bless 'em

speaking of flatland tires... anyone know where you can get some smooth tread flatlands in something other than black? I used to have a nice set of white tires and and back in the early nineties I successfully resisted the purple ones lol But in all honesty I am riding my old retro bike and figured there's got to be at least white tires out there...

its says on the FF site that you will need you will need a narrow 1.25" tube?
do you any of you guys you have the tires actually have the narrower tubes or will regular size ones squeeze in there?

It can work without narrower tube...

it would just be a pita to get a tube in thats all..
i'd think they'd need a narrow rim too to not easily blow off. like the old araya rb 17's or the weinmann 4019s on the mid 90s dyno and gt race bikes... they were that 1.5 rim size. these days i dont know who would make a narrow 20" rim other than sun with a 1 3/8" size, but they bend real easy i would think.
my question is, how good would they scuff? i'm hating the freq G's for scuffing.. and looking for another tire
-
the rubber compound of the primo comet tires is exelent for scuffing as long as there is not any loose dirt / sand around your riding area - as the tire will pick up the loose dirts and you will not properly grip the tire for scuffing if dirt is present on it.
I have used primo comet 1.35 tire and found it to be too small / fast for me.
I like rolling tricks - and the 1.35 tire was just too sensitive.
I use size 1.50 and size 1.75 primo comets. the 1.75 size is extremely hard to find.
I also have found primo comet tires in a tan wall. super dope.
the knurling on the tire will quickly wear away.
the tire is thin
so dont expect it to last verry long time.
but it will be a fun riding tire as it is fast and puts you on a game.

thats true...
don't over inflate them, mine (1.5s) started cracking/ tearing at the sidwalls when i inflated them to 115psi.
won't recommend them for blacktop/tarred carparks - really thin tires, works well on concrete and tiled surfaces.
heard from the local supplier that comets tires are actually used for high-end racing wheelchairs ...???
-
yes I would believe them on racing wheel chairs for shure... they are fast tires that roll fowards for a good long time with little resistance - and the lazy people who drive those weird lay down style 10 speed bikes seem to love them also.
