Thats a nice ride...really like the gold rear wheel. The frame reminds me of the Clad G6, but with a different gusset. IS delta the brand or the name of the frame?
2003 Ares Ashura.. Shes an older lady but still a beauty!! :PBy the way, does she have a name ? ;)
i dont know wats the green one is but i can surely tell u that it isnt yanmar's...cause i hav one
(http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a87/tkh89/latest.jpg)
Thanks a lot.. We also ordered some as samples from this company. I just wanted to know is some flatland company put its logo onto the stem..It's true that alot of BMX companies order ffrom these companies....SHEEPDOG from bikeguide.org wrote a great article about these so called "clones parts." I've seen the catalog online myself and it's unbelievable. Seat post, stems, even frames. On their defense, many ppl say that the taiwans copy off them because its expense to get the real parts in many countries. All I say is, if a company is mass ordering these products, please stop charging riders so much for them.
yo Rully! you are also here!yes!
Naw...the brand may be old but this design is surely recente I believe.no the design is quite old.

by the way is it your moped in the background ? :D
by the way I think the khe cranks looks quite good on the frame ...word
Giant drop outs on the fork .. the kgb pegs look like toys compared to the drop outs ;)LoL WOrd!
It'S an KHE Flat ALLOY fork (2004, only 800g)if it's alloy then it must be from easy rider stock otherwise i haven't heard of it. but if it's chromo, you won't bear the weight coz it's super heavy. next to gt show fork.
it's the lightest fork with offset
Stylish ride you have! No taxes? You mean, if i make an order do portugal i waont have to pay for more than the regular shipping? That's nice, but im still focused on that DaDan frame... :P
Hey did you just raw out your frame or you also clearcoated it?...ta dude, its raw, however before clearcoating I went over it with a rust remover sponge, which is basically like a scouring pad...which buffs-up the metal reel nice.
Looks very nice BTW.
Haro Master!yea :P
Haro Master!...olds Cool B)
I thought the 'M' models standed for Master and those are in the market for a long time now, they look nice.QuoteHaro Master!...olds Cool B)

it's realy cool because you can totally fit the parts to your style.

Brazillian BikeThere's another one
it's an Standard Tao???No man... It's a SDR Sideral
Brazillian Bikewell what you have there is a good, solid functional flatland bike... and that is all that matters...
I'm Brazillian, and here we don't have many problems getting access to the "famous labels" parts, except that with all the taxes they get expensive... <_<
Also BMX is a very "alternative" sport around here, the bikers can't make a living with it, there is pretty much any support at all, but I guess the important thing is that we just keep on riding, isn't it?
But we have some good labels of our own, and I have a Brazillian bike, from a label called SDR.
It's not the best bike someone can get, but sure it's strong and got what it takes to do my thing...
I'm not using any sprocket or freecoaster at the moment, just the free wheel and free crank, which by the way makes it lighter, and I didn't use it anyway...
It's not as light as it could, but it´s good enought for me!
ps: The picture isn't very good cuz I took it with my cell phone camera... :P
I'm not using any sprocket or freecoaster at the moment, just the free wheel and free crank, which by the way makes it lighter, and I didn't use it anyway...greetings apolotorres,
greetings apolotorres,Yeah, I'm thinking about getting a crank actually, I'm just saving some money for it, cuz I'm gonna have to buy a freecoaster and a sprocket also...
check out a video called 'hollywoodjam5' from www.eengoedidee.nl - cranks are definitely an optional extra ;)
i was bored so i thought that it is a good idea to do something on my bike. now i am on a fly simple and suelo butt bar again. and i ride it as long as i got bored next time ;D

Im really considering getting one to replace my inertia. Im 5'9" and the 18.8 of the inertia feels a little long for me. I heard that Pokemon is around 5'9" and he loves his delta. Any help?

i like the look of the psychopower. but i think its too heavy. if it would weight 400 gramms less, it would be a dream frame
Hi,I like it just the way it is. Bikes need more color.
I do have a Odyssey 99er, may put it back on. The bars are not Chicago CRAP they are FLY BIKES Low Riders, I am waiting for are the Inertia which are coming from Soul Cycle.Sprocket is a 28 toother and is easy for general riding.Tires are RED because I wanted a different look! Too many plain looking bikes around!
And RED is a colour for ANGER, and it matches me fine
Thank you Worm,Us geezers gotta stick together lol
You're a GENTLEMAN, 36 years of age and I thought I was old at 37 ^_^
Colors have meanings if you didn't know...
flatride i bet your bike is st**id light.
what's it weigh?
I have always liked the aluminum frames and their geometry
GT show (I had one)
Schwinn Azrael
Ares Choice
KHE Unique
There´s some aluminum frame at the moment in the market??
flatride i bet your bike is st**id light.
what's it weigh?
About 22.3 pounds right now, should be lighter when I lace my front wheel that way.
Danscomp had $30 discount on purchases over $250. I like Danscomp's service more than flatlandfuel, but flatlandfuel pretty much has all the good parts. Besides, they are cheaper on Danscomp.
2Danny: about $172 for spokes only.
I paid $143.28 for spokes only (for 72 titanium spokes incl. nipples) and I purchased from Pat.
To be honest with you, your bike doesn't really look 21.5 lbs, but oh well, you know better.
If I put 2 of these tires on my bike I would lose about 1.5 pounds. But they are just so freaking expensive.
No worries, when I lace my front wheel up the same way and get a new simple frame...
soo i am kinda confused.
my bike is 29, and i woudl consider it not that light
old bikes were like 35 to 40.
now we got kids saying that"they're bikes arent that light"
and they weigh 22.5
well if that isnt that light what is. i ask you all, what is?

You should see some of the guys from Quebec. They make their KGBs look really.. really nice.
Yeti, you like them? these have been on my shopping list for quite some time. If all goes good i should have my new bike after christmas, Tantra Frame should be here monday ^_^
Edit: Nope Tantra frame is here today ;D

aswell as green animal cables & Stimulatorz with Ti Axles ;D
Full bike after christmas! ^_^
Yeah, Swiss Miss is awesome.
I like the Tantra, but what I don't like is that they don't offer it without brake mounts!
(http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y95/bedbod/toddkgb.jpg)how did that happen?
Had to weld my frame.
this frame breaks very often at this area, my friend has broken two psychonnectas in less than one year, they always break at this area. this frame is very weak.
you cant beleive everything you hear, KGB makes prbly the MOST popular frame running, and popular bars, everyone rides them. i know a few ppl that ride the psychonnectas and have for years.this frame breaks very often at this area, my friend has broken two psychonnectas in less than one year, they always break at this area. this frame is very weak.
That's just it, I ain't buyin KGB stuff 4 sure!

My Tantra is built. Took blood sweat & stressing but its built, waiting on some lower gyro cables to get it complete. Im more frustrated that the lights totally sh**te & i cant take a photo.Sick as hell. it makes me want a tantra.
Edit: its a little blurry coz of the light & it had to be resized but this is my Tantra it weighed in at 18.5lbs :D will have a back break set up when the lower cables arrive, so it'll gain about a pound.

I got bored of the tantra in yellow, so ive stripped the bike down & frame & fork will be resprayed Lamoborgini something or other metallic pearl. its a dark green that changes greens in the light.NOOOOOO!!!! MAN!!!!
i like the idea of this bike... but i dont like the bars(the specs)

Thats a real nice bike you got there man(jakup) :beer:That's not a bike, that's a scooter.

bey...nice bike
(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v219/jaktheripper/flatbikebrac.jpg)
well done boys push riders away for calling there bikes scooters. so if you think that they are scooters then they aint flatlanders so why are they on here maybe they should be band because they dont ride the same set up as you?
think what you say. they may not have cranks but scooters dont have seats. or 20inch wheels that i know of to.
way to go push RIDERS away
I've never heard of Wolfgang. The only pro I've heard of crankless is Adam Pintek.
Any pics/vids of Wolfgang, or who is he sponsored by?

Just to give you an idea of what my frame & fork will look like in a day or two.
Lamborgini Olympus Green Pearl
it has Green obviously transluecent black theres a blue, yellow & a gold in it.
hopefully i will be able to get some day light photos of it so you can see the different colours ;D
i was going to use an orange, it wasnt a laborgini colour though, it had a gold undertone to it looked really nice, just decided to go with a darker colour.

Whats with the negativity towards guys that run crankless/6 pegs
Espetialy when Flatland is such a minority Sport/Artform as it is without pushing people away because there bike set up is not the same as yours.
Rob
PS is you wanna be anal about it here is the definition of a bicycle from the dictionary
A vehicle consisting of a light frame mounted on two wire-spoked wheels one behind the other and having a seat, handlebars for steering, brakes, and two pedals or a small motor by which it is driven
Looks like all you brakless riders by definition are not riding a bike afterall
yeah. they were thicker than I though, my barends and stuff dont fit.i had a Bitch of a time getting mine on too, use a rubber hammer! , do u like them tho? pics?

My new "sic" CHIMERA "the used" frame on my bike
The, official, world´s first CHIMERA Bike ;D
Frame is done by zin!! If you want one too, write him!
What are the specs on that including the Tubing Diameter & Gauge if you know it. the back end looks super small just like to know how far its pushed.
152mm cranks, BUT the tantra has a 12" back end where most flat frames are 12.5-13" and i really think i should of got something with a little longer back end :( i dont really like the speed of the front end either so i might try & get hold of a Delta 2.yeah, its short, and you like it longer, but remember, its wolfis signature frame and he likes short chainstays, so perhaps you had to think about it before buying it. so you have to live with it. but its a beautiful bike so you haven´t done a misstake. ;D
zin your frames are looking better every time. i may have to hit you up one day with an idea for a frame
Oh i did my research dont worry i didnt just go oooo wolfgang looks good ill have that one , i got shorter cranks to combat it. I didnt even think about the distance between the peg & the pedals which was my down fall, but what i didnt think about is the fact the frame i rode a good few years back was **** all like that and alot of the parts too, im stuck with it for now & i am going to do my best to get used to it, but i would definately like to try the slacker head tube. They are Sun Rhynolite XL rims btw.
PS: Anyone who has a Delta 2 & would consider swapping & maybe a little cash, ive just spent loads on the paint job so? but id like to try one out, it has to have mounts & gyro tabs though.
Delta 2 is not available with gyro tabs.

This is funny. But not the way you imagined it to be.
haha yeah my mom has been getting on me about cleaning my garage. i need to do that sometime soon. but focus, that's actually a warn out bikeflat sticker, but it wouldn't surprise me if you've seen it before. i know at least one guy before me owned it, and he took it to jams down in nyc all the time. it's a great frame. i'm about 6'2" though, so it's a little short, but i still love it. it's really easy to handle.

Thanks Rob, Big Props to you  for you next time you ride in the Uk
.
You changed the elementary then! Lovely looking bike, cant wait to get mine built back up & get me able to ride again!yeah man, as the frame is a tad longer than the FbM, thought I could get away with something a little shorter stem wise - worked just right- couldn't do any shorter mind.
Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I guess I actually do have to file down my stems. But for the meantime, they way they are right now shouldn't be doing any damage as long as I fix it soon, right? But the bars are around 22" with barends.
^ Suelos or Twenty Amplitude fork? they look really nice whatever.
^ Suelos or Twenty Amplitude fork? they look really nice whatever.
thanks. they are suelos indeed. I love these forks but it sucks the steering tube is so ****ing short  no chance at all to use not even one spacer- ****ers!!!
K
awesome bike!!Pedals are Odyssey Twisted PC.
what are the pedals?
i never managed to remember their name :P
That's a nice ride man! It looks really light too. How do you like those bars? It's prety light. And i like SwissMiss, perfect angle, excellent sweeps (no sweeps), low crossbar and lighweight. I like how it feels and looks is OK too :D
Awesome ride EXCEPT for the chain!I chosed half link chain becouse it's a little more adjustable! I can take off one pin not two like regular chains.
Man, you dont need that! You arnt doing sproket grinds on harsh banks! Sort it out! :P ;D
Only joking, sick ride.
nice nice...its looks like my old frame design...i like it
how much does it weight ?

he's gone to bed.. but i think they are inertia's.. i think.. i may be wrong..might be stmartins?im pretty sure they are inertias... he hasnt mentioned a fork change.. and he rode the inertias for ever.. so i imagine so
Woooo Swiss Miss!!! ;D
Ok can you just shut up and post a tutorial for how you paint your bike because you either don't ride it, or that **** is tough as nails and looks amazing.

Swiss Miss definitely need a band around them to cover the ugly stem welds, aside from that they don't look bad at all.
Your KHE looks tiny... Is it a 16''?
My KHE
Heh, seeing it in a photo, my bars look like cowhorns, they're fairly large.. ;D
Damn Pete, you're making me wish I was able to get a red one.

The photochopped version looks REALLY nice. i like the shorter seat tube for sure!
To Rully: AWESOME photoshop job dude. I love those modifications you did.
I added some super snazzy gray headset spacers, a brakeline cable (GOD I forgot how ****ing SMOOTH these things are!) and the sickest stem I've ever seen.
I rode today for around 4 hours, my bars never moved once. This stem is really sick and in a few weeks I'll write up a full review.
I also somehow found it on ebay for 55 bucks shipped brand new. I have no idea how that worked out considering it's a new part from KHE...right?
Here are a couple of pics of my new div, just need a fork and a crank
so THAT's why it looked so strange and it was so nice in person... i only saw it built together on tj's bike and it looked loooong... now i see why
I am going to get primo crank arms. I already have a profile 165 with ti spindle, but I want to go for a 170m crank. Iam going to ride some park this year on my flatbike that is why I wanted the div a longer crank and taller bars. It is to bad the quamen arms dont come 170  I would prefer them. Here are a couple of pics of my new div, just need a fork and a crank
I see you have the titanium Primo spindle. You should get the Quamen mobile arms then ;D

I'm telling you. It's not the street stem. My Ares stem was 35 mm long. This one is SHORTER than that. There is no way that this is the street stem.

yo Tj.. ive got a 35 mm Ares stem.. notice how its SHORTER than yours. from centre to centre, obviouly the ares has more metal to clamp the steerer,. but really this time, you are wrong man.
TJ thats like 3 people that have reinforced what i said, You do NOT have the flatland stem there is way to much room between the bolts, & Thanks to the guy that actually posted photos of the 2 stems so people dont have to look at my link.

Yes thank you all mighty wise one.
If you noticed I wasn't trying to refute whether or not I had the street stem, I just wanted to know the length.
Either way, it works perfect for me.
Yeah WTH, Big People – Big Stems, so the bike doesn't look tiny on you.
so if thats the case? why are you so bothered that you bought the Street one, and tryed so hard to convince us you had the flatland one?
why cant you just accept that you are not always right?
You should really work on not being a link biter.
You should really work on your reading comprehension.
You should really work on your reading comprehension.
Yeah, as you should have worked on yours before reading that Ebay page and not seeing the bit that said Street stem..
sorry, some of us have other things to do, and for your information., i dont do ANY backwards steamroller links.. so bite my shiney metal ass.
and considering i get to ride for like.. 4 hours a week max .. maybe.. i think im doin ok..
and as for the coming on here bit, you post at least twice as much as me. so just stfu.
and you antagonise mutt more than i do, or did you not read the jesses bike stolen thread. he hates you man.
You should really work on your reading comprehension.
Yeah, as you should have worked on yours before reading that Ebay page and not seeing the bit that said Street stem..
Coming from a guy who has been openly joked on for only being able to do ****ty backwards steamroller links despite spending your life on here antagonizing mutt...
That don't carry too much weight. And it's not like that "street" stem is effecting MY links all that much.

I like it fine giving that I'm only 5' 7"" and wear a size 9 shoe. The only thing is that im afraid of is braking it since im 200#
hey williamflat:
what type of sprocket are you running bro? it caught my eye as being fairly unusual.
IRIE!
lolimbo, i'm definitely feeling the 'Rock vibe on the Tantra. fricking SICK!!! how do they look when they spin by the way?

What frame is that? Its the same color as my WTP Sinus 06'. And the geometry looks really similar too.frame is OG gypo 2
Woo! I got $100 and a simple for my old darwin. A hell of a deal if you ask me. I love this thing.

Even good for some techy street
Its kinda funny... I started to make this post to call you a dumb ass for posting a non flat bike in a flat bike pic thread, but then realized that it says "post your bike pics" and says nothing about flat bikes or not... humbug.
Strip the anodizing off the sprocket so its Raw like the fork & i think your set. maybe a new stem but i think your bike is awesome.

Thanks man. But yeah, I've thought about that, I'm just not sure how to do it. Can you get anodizing off with aircraft stripper?
that sucks!
It's poor construction.
Thin tubes, and a design that cant withstand the torsion on the headtube...
Thats what happens when they try to reduce weight.
what a bummer.
Freshly painted Psychonexion.

Temporarily. Anyone who wants it when the OG comes out speak NOW and I'll have everything arranged to ship the thing out for 100 shipped when I can buy the OG in 19.25.

$100 shipped? Any chance you would throw in the spanish bb? Also, you're sorta notorious for being pretty hard on your equipment, aren't you? Will this frame be completely destroyed after a couple of months? And why did you get the green? Dood, the brown, the brown! C'mon!
Actually I'm not notorious for being hard on anything. I break stuff the same as anyone else that rides the same amount as me. Quamens just plain suck. There was a problem in the G6s that caused them to break at that exact location in that exact way. My chain was slapping against the seatstays because of how poorly the back end was designed (even with enough spacers in between the hub and the dropout). My lardset creaked like crazy and never fit on the headtube correctly from the get go so I got rid of that too. All of this happened to a lot of other people apparently so I'm not that different. Same with the flautas.
BOTH of my old Sinus's are still being ridden by someone else. There wasn't a crack on my Sinus before this one. Not ONE problem with it until it got hit by a car. I've had the same KGBs before replacing them with the ones on this Sinus for over a year and a half. I've had the same profile cranks for 6 god damn years.. the same Nankai for the same amount of time. I rode the same oddysey fork for 4 years.. the same ronin chainwheel for four years.. the same ares stem for 4 years.
I am not hard on my bike or else all of these parts would be breaking left and right when in fact they're lasting wayyyy longer than most people.
I'll have to see what kind of bottom bracket comes on the Kun so I'll let you know if you'll still be interested down the line.
As for the green... I haven't had any color on my bike in like two years.. I figured I might as well go balls to the wall with the green. It honestly has been ****ing me up the last few sessions because I keep focusing on the frame instead of what I'm doing.
Crazy.
Oh, and if you can, please shoot some vids of you on the sinus and stick 'em on youtube so I can pretend that when I get the frame I'll be able to do half the **** on it that you're doing.

Some nice looking rides here guys - I'll post one of mine tomorrow, though it's nothing special.
Zeke - are those London bars on yours? Do they have a website - I've not been able to find it yet if they have. Remember them producing some sick looking stuff when they first started out.
After a nose wheelie contest with a street rider turned part time flatlander friend named Neil.

I already spoke with quamen about it and apparently it was a problem that was picked up on the G6 and fixed in the G7. I'm glad they went ahead and fixed it because before the frame was in my hands, it was ridden for less than twenty sessions with a guy who only really does hang 5s and whiplashes. I got this frame in Janurary and it lasted me until today... shortest life span of any frame I've ever had.
I wish I could wait until the OG comes out.. but for now I'm just going to order another sinus and when the OG comes out I'll wait a month or two then pick one up because they are awesome.
I just wish I could ride tommorow :(
Yes, its london bar, i buy it on FF)
just wondering did u even contact them and see if it would be covered by them before talking TONS of **** bout them on forums?seems like every one i know that has had any kind of problem with qumen they have hooked them up.
My updated bike, 9kg now :)
I can answer for him - the feel like you're riding a chopper. Marcel Tremblay has a pair so I gave his bike a ride the other day. REALLY wide and tall. Some people like it like that, but for me they are way too big.
Holy **** Rully, you must be stoked with that!
I had that same problem with the Delta 2.Holy **** Rully, you must be stoked with that!
well it's definitely LOOKing good but ridingwise it's A BIT too small for me as this is not the size i wanted.
I just don't get how they can piss all over their customer base with horrible HORRIBLE service and questionable quality.. yet remain one of the big guns in frame sales. It just baffles me.

Unfortunately I have to agree with TJ...
hahahaha i can't believe you took it seriously.... do i have to really type in red for sarcasm?
Beefy frames are hot. I have the same simple in matte black, and I won't sell it since I'm not very confident about Paris. Although it is strong enough. ;D ;D ;D
Is that a simple?? It looks a bit beefy, maybe because of the photo?? It looks nice and clean. What seat are you running?
it`s my ashura. ashura is in my heart.

Basically i designed those bars over 3 years ago, and when they went into production they came out (as you know with 0 sweep) which I cant ride. The original design had 3-4 degree backsweep which they may or may not produce .... so untill then I have just been riding other bars.

im not sure... but when i first started riding, i think i remember watching a video of peter doing all these hiker variations, and he had really long hair. was that him?

My new backwheel is finally complete:
Geisha (Effing A+)
Old ti rainbow spokes
Sun chinook rim, almost twice narrower than the sun rhynolite xl I had before, and very light (less than 13 ounces)
Geisha is heavier than Boo (Eff that freecoaster), but since I went with 36h instead of 48h and lighter rim, the weight stayed the same around 9 kilos, less than 20 lbs.
I'm running salt bars that came with WTP div complete I used to have years ago, I like them.

Yeah, my next bike is one front wheel with two pegs.
Light n cheap. I realise its a bit limiting, but having noticed how much flatland is disposing of parts, [ stems, cranks, brakes , double triangle frames] I thought I'd fast forward a bit and just ride the future. ^_^

if you are seriously riding like that id REALLY STRONGLY recommend you tape up the seat tube, if you fall on that itll easily puncture your stomach and a hole that size = instant death.
Sort it out!

stealthy looking bike tj, with that sprocket what ratio is it?
also the fork... what offset is it?
Tj you were critisizing the bar angle on that quamen , and now you are  running the same angle. Weird
The other bike had the bars at like...100-110*, where as TJ's aren't even at 90* yet.
For the other bike, if the bars are set up like that because the rider feels cramped, why not try out a longer top tube?
very nice bike!!
write a very comprehensive review TJ!!!
very nice bike!!
write a very comprehensive review TJ!!!
I will in a while. I don't want to write a review right out of the box and have it fall apart on me in 3 months (like some other frames). But I've heard really really good things from everyone that's already riding an OG about how well they hold up, so we'll see.
First impression is that it's light. Really light. However the back end is still really really stiff. Stiffer than even my sinus. My bikes weight is much more evenly distributed than my Sinus (which wasn't bad actually) and much better than my quamen (that thing had a really really heavy front end comparatively). The bike was easy to get together and I had no problems getting all the pieces to fit. I really like the headtube angle on this one and I LOVE how much room I have up front. Jumping through the frame is so much easier on this bike than any other bike. I guess I should have been riding 19.2 long before this frame because I feel right at home. I was able to hit pretty much whatever I wanted right off the bat. Warming up with hang 5s was weird because I was used to something a lot steeper, but after a few tries everything felt right as rain. As far as I'm concerned the geometry is spot on, and if you were a smaller rider (say 5"8-6"0) than me, I think if you just ran the seat a little more forward, I run mine all the way back, then I think you would be really really comfortable. I think it's a mistake to run bikes so tiny because of the lack of flexibility you have in how you can set everything up. That's my personal opinion coming from years of riding bikes that don't really fit so take that with a grain of salt.
over all I'm really really pleased with the frame and can't wait to really get out for a few days (I have my first 4 days off IN A ROW in over 4 months this week) so after that maybe I'll write something a little more detailed. So far though, I'm really really happy with it and hope my review brings some joy to Marton and Adam.
Either way they are in chicago right now.Tj you were critisizing the bar angle on that quamen , and now you are  running the same angle. Weird
Actually I hadn't even adjusted the bars yet on that so they are more forward than usual. With the KHE stem, before you can tighten down the front end plate, you have to set the rear bolts first. I took that picture right after I built it up and I hadn't moved it yet.
Also, his bars were easily way past the 90 degree mark. Taking into consideration the illusion of my bars being forwards because of the sweep (they actually were a little short of verticle in that picture) they still were further back than the photos I commented on.
Nice try though.
Either way they are in chicago right now.
over all I'm really really pleased with the frame and can't wait to have it powdercoated in rainbow colors so after that maybe I'll write something a little more detailed. So far though, I'm really really happy with it and hope my review brings some joy to Marton and Adam.

Yes I know Zin makes them, but this bike with all the stars was in his bars thread and I thought it was his own bike, then it appears as someboby alse's bike, so I was confused.
Maybe one day I may get Zin to make me a custom frame.

sick bikes youve built there!
Mbrigade. Your St Martins nice. But whats with that front hub on your grandads bike? At first I thought it was the dynamo/magneto to power the light, then I spotted that was mounted on the top of the tire. I then thought maybe a disc brake, but I cant tell if its got v brakes. What is that hub?

Well.. it's alright.. haha
Errmm.. though I said this many a time.. it doesn't feel as short as it seems.. you just have to try it out.. to believe me.
However.. Ares will be coming out with a new longer 18.3" TT version soon next year.. so... watch out for that.
My bars? Well, it's the current AY bars. If you're interested, there will be three sizes coming out so.. keep a watch for that too.. btw, mine is the smallest size.. I'm not sure how tall it is cause it was the only size at the moment that was available..
Ares will be coming out with some new stuff, including forks, stems, errmm.. free coaster hub and rims.. so.. be patient.

Hey timk4130,
The frame stand tube do sit just slightly higher than the top tube, and yes it has a euro bb. The frame is #207 and was originally dark red, but I rawed it.
Glad you changed your bars. We can't have two people with the same stem/handle setup in the same area. :PI have access to a bike shop whenever I want to work on my ride and theres a scale hanging next to one of the work stations. Honestly I may put some heavier tubes and tires on, its almost too lite for my taste but i'll give it a week and see.

Althought I felt the "badge of honor" statement from whoever on the page before was a bit below the belt...
and the "weather you ride or not" was a bit generic...
Personally, for me it comes down to "If it aint broke, dont fix it".
Why should I replace it? It's served me fine for three years and it will do for another year at least.
Simple as.
EDIT: I fail how to see that saddle is "tottaly f-ked up" - look at it, the nose is perfect! And theres still about 80% of the cover left! Let alone to mention the integrity of the actual seat is undamaged! That this is almost as good as new! Corrr....

a siginificant testing period will proove if this design is strong enough, that s why testing period exist. Plus I'm not the only one who is testing it. My first fear was that the bar turn after crash but in reality these bar don't move (less than my dagmar/hook stem setup) so it's stupid to have prejudices without testing it. I would make a comparison with double butted spokes that are lighter but stronger (because of it flexibility) than traditional spokes so sometimes prejudices are wrong...
If you can't take risk in making new concept that improove ergonomics of parts, you will never progress. The traditionnal bar/stem design has not been made for flatlanding, so it's a good thing to try something new and more adapted to this sport.
To my mind it's better to ride a strange bar/stem combo that is lighter, more comfortable, more ergonomic and wisch allow you to ride better simply because it's really the case.
malo
thats crap!
you say one thing ,then you turn around and say another!
make up your mind man!!!
what are you really trying to tell me??????????
so it is possible, but only with sugnificant testing?
do any of these test that you speak of involve haveing the bars pushed to the ground, steped on , and tweaked to get to another trick????????? or is this a classic '' yeah they will hold up to my 125 lbs body when i do x handed steams to 1/2 packer crap, that in all essence doesnt do much for a bar, but show its tempoary flex............ (more so the higher the bar gets from the center of the stem)
and speaking of flex, and bend.............. hell yeah they are going to flex , and bend more than any normal bar(even more so after time) so dont give me a line of b.s. about they are stronger than my londons, BLAH BLAH BLAH! because that is truely a strong bar...... or you would see more of them for sale , and people ditching them for more of a alternitive on these boards!
so answer me this??????
if your bars dont flex one bit, or less than a london, does that mean train tracks wouldnt derail if they where using your design as far as taking two straight points, and not adding a center for support????????????
i wonder if csx railroad comp usa would do something like this to make more $$$, and improve what you like to call ergonomics, @ the same time hurting/killing alot of people , and doing alot of damage to the ozone, not to mention to put us back in to a state of depression because of all the stock that was lost on wall-street from a company that coulnt get supplies from one place to another.
thats ergonomics,
right???????

as for others, here is a little lesson you can try @ home................ since you are too stupid to really understand what the hell i so called ranted about................
I love how I'm running a standard gear ratio and everyones like "YOUR SPROCKET IS AS BIG AS A DINNER PLATE HA HA HA".yeah we know, you do it with one crank ;D
**** you guys at least I can go from point A to point B without 50,000 cranks.
If you do a little research, back to around 2000, I think you will find there was a bar identical in design to this that a rider from germany used to ride. Ulricht Kittel had a bar identical to this, I am not sure why it never came out at the time (maybe looks were too important back then) .... but maybe if you contact Ulricht and ask him why he never got it produced (it may give you some good feedback to help).
f you take string, and cut 3 pieces into 1/2 inch sizes , and place 2 of them in a parallel fashion( for the non educated people it means; side by side, in the same distance they are apart from each other) and then take the 3rd piece and conjoin them @ the bottom what is going to happen to the tops of the string?
they are going to move , ok?!!!!!!!!!!!
now cut another piece of string, and conjoin @ the top.
now it is what you can call a boxed section(just like a railroad track) and is stable from one point to the other. thus elliminateing any flex, or brake that you may have from one spot or the other.
Yeah what ever .everyone says these bars are ugly.but im positive when the likes of alex, mattias, and all the other top pros start riding them everyone will have to have them.
IE the khe bar stem combo when it came out everyone was talking **** on them. But now everyone has them.I think the design is sweet i just like 2 piece bars to much.
if no one invented or experimented with different products where would we be now. i like st martin for this fact, they are trying to push the art form/sport, your all going to be in for more of a shock soon, i like difference, i like the weird and wonderful, i love flat .

One of the longest complete flatland bikes out there, with 19.25" OG Kun Fu frame, offset Odyssey forks, 8" MTF bars, and so on. Daniel is around 6' 3", and likes it big. ;D

New set up, my "silent" bike with plegs, Fly nylon bar ends, and plastic pedals. I still have to take the front brake mounts off, but you get the point. Props to paved_paradise for the frame.

Nah, the brakes are more advanced than blue tooth. They are telekinetic brakes controlled by mind power. Its the future.
And yes, Leeman has a very neat bike.
Looks nice Malex, kind of reminds of the trevors old dyno slammer without a platform and his bars. Do you gotta leave ur bike when u go to school?
Here's my new 19.25 Kun Fu before I go back to school...Is it me or does those Og's look huge...I mean my Class X is longer but compared don't look it...must be the mad wheel clearence giving that illusion.

and did u see the brake pads? this dude rides so much he used all the rubber off the brake pads, then braked wit the metal till they just fell off! BEAST

1. Spray multiple coats, but thin, don't just glob paint all over it. (2-3 coats)
2. Use a coat primer on it first, after sanding it down.
3. Be patient, don't rush your work.

I thought the flanges looked different. Is this harder to lace, and do you have to have two different length sopkes to do it?

Everyone has these really awesome bikes with matching colors and all the latest parts (some with no scratches), and mine is just kind of meh. I love it to death, but I think most people wouldn't find it very appealing.
BTW, it's not left hand drive. The picture was taken on my iMac, so everything is reversed. My front brake lever is on the right.

funny how while i was out of flatland i heard nothing but bad stuff of the show. looks great but suposedly it was waay tiny and the brittle aluminium cracked often. Just give me the power series cranks from the past.
seeing GTs is Sports authority and Toys R US. I'd prolly never trust the quality again. Ive seen bikes come out of those boxes with crooked dropouts and gaps in the welds.
A little experimenting.
damn tj, paint go bye bye. thats looks dope. how long did it take you to take all the paint off. what did u use?
tj, it looks weird too.
I always think zero's look like they are put on backwards or something...
Don't you constantly end up with your foot in the tires, when you are just pedalling around?

The knurled bottom bracket ("the fifth peg") isn't on any other frame, so that's something else that never caught on.

TJ how did you do the paint splatter? Literally just hang the frame up and swing a brush about or is it actually drawn/stenciled on?

I took a peice of paper, folded it in half, sprayed a bunch of yellow paint to the center of the fold and let it kind of accumulate, then I just flicked the paper at the back of the frame.

Hey Ken NJ nice Tantra. What kind of spindle did your Tantra complete come with? And does your front hub sealed and uses the EAS axle system?
I think he means the spindle on the cranks, which is usually titanium/chromoly/aluminum. And EAS system is just a thing the geisha hubs have where you can replace the studs on the hub.

Just for all you anti-trend people. ;)
I'm 176cm. I love a longer frame. Some others may not, but I need the clearance for my big beer gut, and longer just feels more stable for me.Ok thanks, can i have other pics of your bikes on my mailbox (abadthing@hotmail.fr)?
The most natural frame I had before was a 19" Psyconnecta. This frame feels pretty close, just a lot lighter.

Can we stop doing this? Seriously. Weight does not = how big your dick is nor does it really matter.
Great you guys, you built light bikes. Good for you. let's see you ride them and make use of how light they are.
Sorry to sound angry about it, but seriously, it's ridiculous to tout the weight of your bike like it actually matters when you don't have anything to show of yourself riding it. -_-
my bike?? total weight is 5.7kg with cranks and a front brake
Also, if I were the moderator I would immediately ban all pics of bikes using the khe swiss miss bars-- seriously the G A Yest thing I've ever seen!!!
That's too funny kabirun ;D...I have to have a real stem, friggin' crazy youths *shakin' fists*

Felon monk. VERY nice set up. Nice to see some Japanese stuff you dont often see. The Ares pegs look really good, and the pedals look nice too. What are the pedals? Is the stem 30mm? What freecoaster do you run? Sorry for too many questions. ;DThanks for the compliments.. and no problem with questions, ask as many as you want, i dont care..

nice ride flateux...where'd you get the chrome decals from?
My frame trade fell thru, so I decided to just keep it for now, new: handlebars, grips, stem (thanks to therifraf), seatpost, seat, front tire, painted most of the bolts blue and my favorite, simple slammers (can't see them, but they're there)

Haven't been riding at all. Finally built up the kgb frame I got from paved_paradise a long time ago.

It is a bit lighter than my old ride, but not by much. I'd say it's still pretty heavy for me, thought the front end is a bit lighter.
As for parts let's see, kgb first gen psychoconnecta, odyssey flat forks, Sun BFR rims wheelset with 14tooth OG nankai, 165mm odyssey 41 thermal cranks, bizhouse pegs.
If I had the skill and patience I would put a front brake on, even a back brake. But alas, I just don't know how to assemble them anymore (not like I ever dialed anything on my bike).
Having a new bike didn't give me any ninja-flat riding skills either
I'd best put in work!
Raymon - that frame color is sweeet. I'm partial to flat blk but this looks a few shades lighter than blk. custom?
About the grips stopkaiross; By double end grips...did you mean you used old grip ends? Cuz these grips come with flanges.Yea, I was "inspired" by Chase's bike check, I cut the little bell end "flange" off some old ones, slid it on first and then put my new ones on.

I wasn't directing my comment at you Dojo Jojo. Yes it is pretty ballsy to ride a sticker like that...and I was commenting on Kickemos1664 and how it is pretty easy to make a political statment and claim that the US Gov't killed 1000s of its own people when you are a Canadian.
"*"Hijacking attempts against civil air and surface craft could appear to continue as harassing measures condoned by the Government of Cuba."
a. An aircraft at Eglin AFB would be painted and
numbered as an exact duplicate for a civil registered
aircraft belonging to a CIA proprietary organization in the
Miami area. At a designated time the duplicate would be
subsituted for the actual civil aircraft and would be
loaded with the selected passengers, all boarded under
carefully prepared aliases. The actual registered
aircraft would be converted to a drone.
b. Take off times of the drone aircraft and the actual
aircraft will be scheduled to allow a rendezvous south of
Florida. From the rendezvous point the passenger-carrying
aircraft will descend to minimum altitude and go directly
into an auxiliary field at Eglin AFB where arrangements will
have been made to evacuate the passengers and return the
aircraft to its original status. The drone aircraft
meanwhile will continue to fly the filed flight plan. When
over Cuba the drone will being transmitting on the inter-
national distress frequency a "MAY DAY" message stating he
is under attack by Cuban MIG aircraft. The transmission
will be interrupted by the destruction of aircraft which will
be triggered by radio signal. This will allow IACO radio
c. At precisely the same time that the aircraft was
presumably shot down a submarine or small surface craft
would disburse F-101 parts, parachute, etc., at approximately
15 to 20 miles off the Cuban coast and depart. The pilots
retuning to Homestead would have a true story as far as
they knew. Search ships and aircraft could be dispatched
and parts of aircraft found."
Just a quick stupid question, what type of frame is the yellow one Zin posted up?it's from his own "company" called the Chimera Bikz. he welds the frames and all, he does custom frames too.

To each his own, whatever, I'm not arguing on a flatland website, my bad for stirring things up...on with the pictures.
Calling facts propaghanda, and assuming something ridiculous makes who the moron?
Debate what I posted in response to what they were saying about the other guy on the previous page instead of making stuff up and calling names.
PM me if you don't want to mash it out in here. Otherwise I'll just take it as you either accepted the facts and don't want to admit it, or you just don't even want to acknowledge them because you're scared.
Go back and read what I said. Look it all up. Does any of it sound crazy? Look it up.

Im not going to debate such a dumb arse coment. Your presenting facts from one side and not presenting the facts from the other side! propaganda. What you are doing is glorifying only one side of the facts and not being aware of all the facts. You watch too much TV

after seeing how my black spokes flaked off, i woud steer clear of painted spokes. especially on a x-lace pattern.
looks good but how would u touch up that paint?

daym thats one costly lookin ride
spokes look nuts
i keep noticing that people with the same frames have similar parts on their bikes
for example the simples all have the same parts as other people with simples
just thought id say
these have loosened up a bit in two sessions; but i'm hoping that will end real soon.from my experience, every newly built wheel needs time for the spokes to settle and takes a round of quarter turns or two before they are freshy fresh

Hi man if thats a kgb copy like paolos then the guy who did it for you made huge progress.it is the real thing, 4 of those got available here, too bad i can't afford them -_-

This what we call in the riding world, a silly trend.
For experienced wheelbuilders, I thought that 4x was supposed to only be used with 48 (or more) spokes, and 3x was the highest number of crossings that should be used with 36 (or 32) spoked wheels. Can anyone give any verification?
I'm pretty sure that a 48 4x wheel has spokes leaving at the same angle as 36 3x (or damn near close), so a 36 4x would be like 48 5(or more)x.
Paris 2
reaally nice prflatThanks!
Jonmack: I also wanted to strip that yellow/green flashy paint off my Tantra when i bought it over the www. I think the bike look wayyy better in person, and I don't think I will repaint it anytime soon. (anyway, what will I ride, if it take 1 week to repaint the bike ? :P)
About the F-set. Bahhh...
It's not in the way.
It look cleaner to me (versus normals gyros)
Work great.
I think it's only a different way of doing things. Not worst, maybe not better. :P
I was wondering, How do you guys keep the front brake cable from sliding against the tire all the time ? I've got a piece of rope right now, not that's def. not the best. ^_^
well here's mine..
i'm soon to be lacing a NANKAI technolite with a sun citylite rim.

of course, the tight routing will put more stress on the cable and it will need replacing more often. A good quality cable will last longer. Remove the huge metallic adjuster so the cable will flow in the curve better.

Or get a dia-tech flexie - these things are so awesome its unreal, i got the tightist bend round my forks and it still glides so smooth - Badman thought i was using butter as lube in my cables its so smooth!

But with a flexie do you need to recut your wire if you were running without a flexie?
How'd you set up a flexie on the front, im sure its as simple as it sounds haha, but do any of you guys have a pic i can take a look at?I think you set it up just as a regular cable; only thing that's diffrent is that it can handle a tighter bend.

i still understand any of the advantages of the internal gyro system :huh:I used to have a Khe Unique. The entire head tube was oversized. The internal rotor worked really well for me. I preferred it to running a gyro. I think that it was mostly about simplicity. One cable in and one cable out. The detangler they use is not a "gyro", it is a "rotor" and it is not a new concept. They just decided to put it inside the head tube and yes I think that they were just trying to be unique/different. It's just ugly and odd looking. I also don't think an old style rotor would work with today's clamp style stems as it has to slide up and down the fork steerer to work, so the huge head tube was a necessity for the concept. At least they tried.
can anyone tell me?
all i see is khe trying to be unique but failing.
i like that bike though, khe does have nice parts.

Updated to odyssey classic zero forks, and sequence hook stem. Also plastic ares bb, and watanabe seat...Rides really nice!!! Gonna have to get back use to zero once again.

Updated to odyssey classic zero forks, and sequence hook stem. Also plastic ares bb, and watanabe seat...Rides really nice!!! Gonna have to get back use to zero once again.

its all sunshine down here in south FL.
was soo hot today I had to go session at local garage
to get out of the sun. was a good sesh too. I learned a bunch
and im nailing half lashes about 40% of the time and getting them to ride around in a
sweet little circle before getting out of the trick. feels crazy awesome riding like that.
I am also getting cyclones pretty dialed in. also a rad trick to just ride around in a circle with for a minute before ride away. lotts of fun.

Are those the plastic signature rims?
I forgot who made them
but my friend had them in pink
^ If you dont actually know, There are 2 ways i know of doing it.
1. 2 People one holds the bike up, other has the camera. Person holding the bike gets out of the way quick, Theres your floating bike.
or (the easyier way)
2. Plastic bottle, Coke can, Something that sits under the pedal & holds the bike up & photoshop.
89..nice bike bro. I'm a sukka for 3piece cranks..that's the only thing I would change on that beast. My bro who wants to get back into it dug your bike.

Man, that's not even a bike. No chain or even a sprocket. What's the point? It resembles a scooter to me. I could probably do more on an old Mongoose scooter.

or its just your style of riding it? any + or - to that setup?
Thats a scary looking setup.
I mean the seat is higher than the bars, do you have video of yourself riding that shaft?
I am just curious to see how that would look like.

Yes this is the first version of "the used"
Looks like most frames made in the moment. Just that this frame is over one and a half years old. ;-)
Well I live in the caribbean and a good Flatland bike runs for about $2100.00 in my country thats like $350 US but shippin kills us which is like half the price of the bike!!!!So this is jus sumting i put together till i get a new frame!!! She my baby though!!!!  :P

I talked to him last week for 5 minutes, and i think he's really busy with school at the moment...
So i think he'll be back in a week (or maybe 2)
I know the waiting sucks, but his frames are really worth the wait!
I want to thank Aaron Frost/Sequence for putting function before fashion, and designing, what is in my opinion, one of the most ugly set of handlebars available at the moment. With how bad these bars look, I was surprised at how much I like them.
So few options are available at the moment for tall bars, so I traded in the extra width I like (I prefer 24", these come stock at 23.5"), for some extra height (these are the 8" version, which I think look uglier than the 7" and 7.5"s). I would have prefered a bit of sweep, but I'm getting along with zero sweep better than I expected.
Let's here it for ugly bars/bikes!
(don't mind my stockpile and graveyard of parts in the back)
