Title: York Jam 2007
Post by: pwh4130 on January 17, 2007, 01:29:12 AM
Oh yes, it will happen.

I'm shooting for September but I need to find out if any other events are already planned.  I want to set a date next month so I can start lining up sponsors and getting everything together.  Let me know what's up or I will just pick a date.

Thanks everyone.

I'll second that motion.

If we do this can we all ride on a really big tarp to collect the billion gallons of sweat that are going to be pouring off each others asses from York sucking in august?

Are you thinking of holding it at the new spot? If you do, you NEED to get someone over there with a street cleaner or something to get the dust up.

how is it possible that York has harsher armpit weather than Atlanta and then you get to freeze your balls off  two months laterleaving me to wonder where all these contibuted DNA came from Brett!

Why not labor day weekend?

Um, thanks?

I appreciate the concern but I need scheduling info at this point.

August is way too hot.  Not gonna happen.  June could be an option but I need dates for that month too.

Brett, lots of events for 2007 do not have dates yet. Choose your date for York Jam now and let everyone else schedule around you. It is THE YORK Jam :) Just pick a date that works for you. We will all be there!

Dude, August is only one month before September   is it really that much different in terms of temperature? I was thinking late August anyhow. Or very early Sept.

It's about 10-15 degrees difference and the sun isn't as high/hot.  It really does make a difference.  Aren't you done school yet, Brandon?

Whatta you guys think about June?

6yrs down 4 more to go  :P

You know what? June does sound real good. I'm kinda counting on hitching a ride with OSD though so I don't know if you want to weigh my vote to heavily.

I wouldn't weigh your vote heavily anyway.  You don't do peg pickers.  OSD on the other hand... ;D

Again and I cannot stress this enough.. We need to get something organized to clean up the new lot so it's free of dust. I really really like the new spot compared to the queens lot and once it's cleaned up a bit, it would be an awesome substitute for that nasty old hole full of glass and gravel  -_-

If this jam can take place any time before September I will try to go, but once my college semester starts, there's no way I'm going. I think a lot of people probably are in the same boat as me.
Especially with this being my final semester, being able to hit up York Jam would be great right before I get hit with some of my toughest and final classes.
