Title: KHE Parts 2009
Post by: Mr News Bot on September 09, 2008, 08:18:33 PM
KHE presented a couple of new products at the Eurobike last weekend. Here is a 2009 roundup:

Paris III Frame
Once again the Paris frame became a little bit lighter. New weight: 1530 g = 3.37 lbs

Equilibrium 2009
For 2009 there will be a optimized edition with new features like removeble pivots, gyrotabs and cablehangers - and of course a better weight: 2120 g = 4.67 lbs

Minimalism Stem
New clamping system and steel inserts.

Tanaka LT
The lower price version of the Tanaka. Cheaper but still made of CrMo. The regular Tanaka will still be available.

Seatclamp: Nice and slim.

Furthermore there will be a Militant complete bike line with different versions:

Militant AM: the beginners will be gifted with an f-set.
Militant LT: for the upcoming talents.
Militant Pro: the usual high end standard.

Last but not least the Paris 3 complete.

it all looks pretty sweet to me. lets not jump to conclusion i would hope they learn from mistakes from each previous model while also learning new techniques to make there frames lighter and hopefully more dependable

V3 looks way more solid than the V2. Are they selling the militant separately?

Complete stealth's...didn't see that coming.

I've been trying to check out the Tanaka LT but, no luck. Is anyone else having this problem?

Paris III with a 11.9" back end -- I want to throw up. I never imagine flatland trends would ever turn this gay!   anything below 12.5 is already super gay, how can KHE do that?

Paris III - Please use by date printed on bottom bracket for maximum freshness. Contains no preservatives.  Use only as directed. Not intended for normal flatland use or riders over 5' 6".

I had issues with the old minimalist stem not clamping the steerer tube well enough.  Then broke one of the bolts.  Well, to be fair I did ride it 2 whole sessions before getting it warranteed.  No way that new one holds up!

Never liked the looks of the equilibrium.  But that light grey is pretty nice.

Paris 3, stupid small.  Can't even fathom riding something like that.

homophobic much??? ...seriously, you'd get jumped at my college by some huge lesbians for saying that....

...I like that the paris3 is so small but doesn't have to go sub 18 on the toptube, I mean i think a 17.5 ht would mess me up way more than a 11.9 cs would....

My Militant is twisted to hell, and the tubing is bulging at welds, so be happy if yours is at least in good shape, haha.

The "new" Militant frame is nothing but an Ares AY EX 47 rip-off.  :P ^_^

I have a hard time finding a difference in any two street frames, some flatland frames have same designs, I think we should all just get over it now, instead of whine about it everytime a new frame comes on the market.
