i saw on FF there is a 10mm to 14mm axle converter, but does anything make it go the other way??? is it possible to take a nankai 14mm FC and take out the axle and replace it with a 10mm?

Which Nankai 14mm? If it's just a regular Techno-Lite, then you just take off the adapters and put the right nuts on. If it's one of the new dedicated 14mm ones, you just get a 3/8" freecoaster instead.

At that price? It's not a brand new one, so it's adapters. when I originally bought my wheels w/ the Nankai, it had the adapters; when I got a frame with 3/8" dropouts, I also got the cone nuts and took the adapters off. It's really easy.

its also not that hard to cut your 10mm axle slots on your frame to fit the stronger 14mm axles in there.
