Red Bull Flat Jazz in Paris by Martin

Matthias would like to tell you about his Flat Jazz project: "I´m really happy to introduce you to a project I have been working hard on the past 6 months with Red Bull. The Red Bull Flat Jazz is going to take place 9th Sepember in one of the most awesome venues in Paris. It´s going to be a meeting between Bmx Flatland and Jazz. Jazz may sound like old school and not entertaing, but the guys I´m working with are one of the best musicians on the planet. They are the new school of Jazz. Both of the discipline/art are very freestyle so it´s gonna be interesting! What is the most stupid thing to do? To steal another riders bike. What is even more stupid? To steal a unique prototype. However, someone was smart enough and stole Bram´s bike at the Masters last weekend. Contact KHE if you see it somewhere.

New Events: Fieldcontrol, King of NY and Southsea by Martin

A bunch of amazing event news:

For the 4th year the Fieldcontrol powered by Carhartt will take place in Portimão/Portugal with a total price money of 3.000,00€ for Stunt Man category. At 18th and 19th September some of the best flatland riders in the world will be all together in Parque da Juventude to enjoy flatland in her maxim, with the same excellent conditions as last year, as an OSD wood floor with 20m by 20m covered by a 900m2 tent.

The King of New York BMX and Skateboard action sports event returns for its 16th year on August 7 and 8. Tompkins Square Park at 10th Street and Avenue A in lower Manhattan will host The King of New York.

There will be a flatland and street contest in Southsea, England at the 28/29th of August. Bring it back King of Concrete style at Effraim´s home spot: King of Southsea

BMX Masters Roundup by Martin

The BMX Masters ended a couple of hours ago. Time for a little roundup! First of all we have to say thanks to DeepBMX and Power Balance for saving the Flatland contest. Well done! The weather was perfect this year and about 90 riders completed in the girl, amateur and pro classes. We are proud to let you know that our Rider of the Month Julia Preuss won the Girl class! Furthermore Davis Dudelis aka Ondo - who is organizing our forum video battles - won the amateur class! 60 riders competed in amateur and the level was insane. Congratulations!

Last but not least Matthias won the Best Combo contest with one of his hard rear wheel combos.

We have a photo gallery online: BMX Masters 2010 and there is a good highlight video of the pro final available on YouTube.
