Jumper BMX - Bar Stem Combo

We checked the latest products of Jumper BMX from Argentina and saw this Bar-Stem-Combo. It weighs 1050g = 2.3lbs and is 9" high. There is no backsweep and some minimal upsweep. At the moment it's a prototype and we are wondering about those slotted holes. Does it make sense to you?
