UPDATE 

October 10, 2013 (Greenville, NC) – Saturday, November 2, the Atlantic Bike Stunt Alliance will host the Third Annual BMX Fest in uptown Greenville’s Five Points Plaza, located at the corner of Evans Street and Fifth Street. The event will feature the 2013 Trans Jam BMX Contest Series Final Stop, which includes Park, Flatland, and Street competitions, for BMX riders of all ages and skill levels. Pros will compete for a $5,000 purse. In addition, the festival will include a Vintage Bike Display, Car Show presented by S & D Auto Restorations, live entertainment and an assortment of vendors. This year the festival we be introducing a new section called KidzVille, which will include some favorites from the past and some new additions such as the National Guard Rock Climbing Wall. Children will also have the opportunity to take part in the Hyper Bikes Kids Art Contest for the chance to win a new bike, spend some time with Coco the Clown, and much more!

Greenville, NC is known in the action sports community as the BMX capital of the world. It has been dubbed the Epicenter of BMX, or Protown USA, currently home to more professional BMX riders and X Games medals than any other city on the planet. As a hub of BMX activity, Greenville boasts a world-renowned ramp park, Jaycee, and amongst its population of BMXers numerous X Games, Gravity Games, and Dew Action Sports Tour competitors; even a few video game characters!

BMX Fest is a family-friendly event and free to the public. In addition to the variety of aforementioned activities, guests will also have the chance to witness some of the riders seen on “America’s Got Talent” battling for the pro purse, get autographs, and meet their favorite pros.

The Third Annual BMX Fest is proud to partner with Monster Energy, Dirtball Fashion, Bell Helmets, The Mixer, WXNR 99.5 the X,  The Hilton Greenville, Hampton Inn, The City of Greenville, Uptown Greenville and The King BMX Stunt Show as it’s presenting sponsors. A Pre-Party will be hosted at Buffalo Wild Wings from 8pm-11pm on Arlington Road on Friday, November 1.

Trans Jam BMX Contest Series Announces 2013 Stops

The series partners with Dirtball Fashion and Monster Energy Drink for NC Stops

 

February 21, 2013 (Durham, NC) – The Atlantic Bike Stunt Alliance (ABSA), which organizes the Trans Jam BMX Contest Series, announced their 2013 contest schedule today.  In its fourth year of operation, the series, based in the state of North Carolina, has hosted stops in Charlotte, Raleigh, and Greenville. This year, the contest will operate five contest dates during a four-city stop, and introduce a new discipline into one of the stops. In addition, the series will host its first out-of-state contest in Athens, Georgia. The 2013 Trans Jam BMX Contest Series schedule is listed below:

 

Stop 1

April 13- Charlotte, NC at the Presbyterian Hospital Invitational Bicycle Criterium

                Featuring Park, Flatland, and Street competitions

Stop 2

April 27- Athens, GA at the Terrapin Twilight Bicycle Criterium

                Featuring Park and Flatland competitions

Stop 3

May 18- Raleigh, NC at the Lake Crabtree Trails

               Featuring a Dirt competition

May 19- Raleigh, NC at the Got To Be NC Festival in the Dorton Arena

               Featuring Park, Flatland, and Street competitions

Stop 4 Finals

November 2- Greenville, NC at BMX Fest
