First of all the surface is not concrete, it's asphalt.

Ruoholahti projects and the now famous ball court was built around 1993 when it used to have a smooth tar-mac like surface. It was the number one spot in Helsinki for a looong time, all the way until late 90's/early 2000's when the surface began to disintegrate due to harsh nother weather conditions during winter time.
These days it's nothing but a memory of a once great riding spot. If you really can afford to buy new tires every week or every two weeks, then this is the place to ride. I for one, who has seen the rise and fall of the Ruoholahti ball court can only wonder why is this place still acting as a venue for flatstyles? I mean come on, isn't it about time to find a smoother surface.
