FREE OPEN TO PUBLIC.

TIME: Sunlight to sundown. Occasionally open until 9pm if stadim lights turn on.

DIRECTIONS: Taking I-95 highway to Hollywood exit, head EAST. First traffic light [28 Ave] make left (leading NORTH). Second light [Johnson St.] make left (leading WEST). Just after crossing underpath and Rail tracks, turn left corner on Knights Rd.

PARKING: About 15 -20 slots plus the grassy strip, which adds...A LOT MORE!

BRIEFING: This FREE open park is mainly 2 hockey rinks with a smoothe buffed paved flat surface. No roof covering. One rink containing ramps, banks, pyramid and rails donated from woodward. Great material ramps. The other rink is pretty much empty since it contains portable hockey goals.
These rinks have enclosed short walls with fence leading the rest up to 12 feet. Therefore area is a bit wind resistant. Punks frequently litter the place up. They keep that up, park will be shut down.
What else? I'd say 2 bathrooms that are never open and a dirty water fountain. Yippy.
Food?? Fortunately there is a farm store just nextdoor for refreshments and junk food. actually a lot more than that, I just dont go there.. they make up prices.
A pizza store and supermarket just across the street. And did I mention PIZZA!! good stuff.

DISCOVERY: Apparently a LOT of locals know this park, so word of mouth has been most effective. See....didnt I just show you?

SPOT TRAFFIC: Most occupancy occurs over the weekends starting Friday, Sat, simmering down on Sunday. Unless summer is in sesison. Week days evening it gets busy as well.
Low occupancy from morning to afternoon. Skaters make up 95% of users. Keep in mind everyone who uses the park respects the hockey teams that are assigned to that designated park for practice and games. Only in the empty rink though. Ramps remain open throughout the day.

ROAD TRAFFIC: Sort of a minor street so its not too bad, although there is a railroad just in front so you know how that goes every once in a while. So its a one way in/one way out road for the park.

AUTHORITY: Police and park rangers are well recognized at this location. Their presence is somewhat influencial on safegaurding the area from crime and drugs. Although the homeless folks nearby are so far harmless, and just curious about our sports...but common sense points to NEVER trusting them.
