Ok, longest #flathigh2013 post ever! ;-) There is even an exclusive Intrikat edit hidden in between all those highlights. Don't miss it, it's awesome!
Chad what was your highlight last year?
Thanks for the opportunity to share my 2013 riding highlights, here are a few of my memorable moments:
1.) Riding and vibing with the homies was the best way to start 2013.

2.) After getting flow from Primo for years, it was exciting for me to be bumped up to the pro team.

3.) Stoked to represent BMX to a large audience and it was nothing but good vibes working with the homies and meeting the Odd Future crew. Last time I checked this video had over 5 million views. No tricks, but rad vibes for sure.

4.) This gig was the exact opposite of my daily routine, so I was really stoked to execute without flaws. We rode onstage with other performers for one song and it was a major challenge under that kind of pressure, especially on a weird surface and in front of a packed arena of 20, 000 spectators.

5.) It has been a goal to offer flatland parts in a variety of sizes to fit everyone and by adding a fork and another stem option to the S&M/Intrikat kit has helped progress that goal. Now we offer frames in four lenghts (19, 19.5, 20, 20.5), a minimal offset fork, handlebars in two heights (8 ½ & 9) and two stem options (front load 26mm and now top load 36mm): Fastpitch Fork, Enduro Stem
6.) This was a challenging project due to the fact that I had moved out of my element, the underground is where I usually get my best sessions but, due to the security issues I rode elsewhere. At Sea Level S&M Edit: http://youtu.be/2X9C7GzwqG0
7.) I’m stoked to be a part of S&M’s Familia and this road trip was an example of why, non-stop fun. Texas Toast Team Trip.
8.) I spent 6 months working on making a handful of my toughest tricks new basics and filming for this edit ended-up being a test of my mission. We filmed everything in a couple of hours, which is kind of unusual compared to other filming projects that can span over days, sometimes weeks: Chad Johnston Pegless Flatland in Long Beach
9.) Gratitude Edit- I’m super stoked that the frame and parts have been a success. They’ve continued to move off the shelves quicker than we can produce them with no warranty issues and as a result, we’ve been able to hook-up some bad ass riders. This edit was gesture of gratitude towards the riders representing the shield. Vimeo locked it because of copyright infringement, but I want to give Global-Flat visitors the password to view it on my private Vimeo page, kinda like a Global-Flat exclusive: https://vimeo.com/73495800 (password: global-flat)
10.) When Martti expressed interest in riding a S&M Intrikat frame I did all I could to get him a frame and as a token of his appreciation he sent me a handful of self-filmed clips. We have deep roots together and it was rad to work with a great friend again. Looking forward to future projects...

11.) These days I’ve been having a blast building bikes and after joining the BMX Society and BMX Museum, I realized that a ton of others do as well. As an excuse to hook-up some loyal S&M customers we decided to organize the…
