Flatmonkey BMX Update Summer 2011

We've been following Chris Ridener's Flatmonkey BMX project since 2008. Here is the summer 2011 update!

"Greetings to the Global-Flat community. It has been a while since I have sent an update. Flatmonkey Bmx just finished up our Storybook theme park flatland shows for 2011 and we successfully performed for over 240,000 tourist this summer. It was an awesome summer doing shows and progressing. As we prepare for fall and winter I have been given an opportunity to start performing for three different venues and outreach programs through the Rapid City YMCA. We will be working with many hip-hop artist from the surrounding areas and DJs performing for different areas of the state and some travel. I also will be doing a local battle against and freestyle unicyclist. Another item we are working on is a local flatland school through the YMCA for the youth to get them started in flatland bmx. I will get some pictures and video posted soon. I appreciate the support from Global-Flat and all the support from DK bikes, Airspeed Shoes, and Six Feet Clothing this year. We are working to outreach to many youth in numerous venues going into the new year!"
