When were you interviewed for ROTM? And are you still riding?
May 2011, and yes, I’m still trying to figure out the way of flatland.
What’s changed for you since you were ROTM?
Just different work. I’m a window cleaner in NYC, other than that I ride, ride, ride more than you.
Have you competed since we last spoke, or do you prefer to ride for yourself?
No, I did not. I would like to… so I can ride with people that will help me to progress. But mostly I do ride for myself. I film a lot just to check if I will ever get better, and flatland is very hard.
How often do you ride, or wish you could ride?
Ehh, Man, work is in the way! But I get and hour or two no matter what in the week, but weekends I’m all day ride, ride, ride everything!
What has been the best experience for you riding wise, and how did it make you feel?
Riding flatland! And doing an upside-down decade aka “orb”. I think there is under a hand-full of people that did that one?? Anyway, I went to hall and back for that one, you have no idea… well, wait you guys know. Just that riding flatland an fighting for something that hard, honestly, I did not know I had it in me, and flatland showed me the way.
What’s been the best experience for you outside of riding?
That I’m still alive… I’m a survivor.
Have you travelled since we last spoke? Where have you been, or where would you still like to go?
Naa, just local, but… I really would like to go to Cali, that is a dream for me now a days. It has the best street spots and flatlanders… Best of every world.
Do you have any new hobbies or interests outside of flatland, or have you developed an interest we spoke about before?
I would like to try and get started in street bikes, and do flatland with that… a-ha-ha! My boy keeps telling me “Ride the real man’s flatland”. He is going to let me use a old bike he had, fix it up, learn how stuff works and then ride that bike with my little bike and do so much flatland that my brain will melt??? Or, I will just do what I do… Ride the bike… Ride, ride, ride, ride.
Bikecheck: Has it changed since we interviewed you?If so, please write down your setup and send one or more photos of your bike
My set up right now is 20”, zero offset forks, 20 x 2.00” tires, 155mm cranks… I do have S&M stem and bars, my frame is Toys R Us.
Have you been filming, and where could we see your latest edits?
I film a lot, just check YouTube, and type my name. I will post a video or two every month, there is over 50 videos, so it is adding up. Check them out, I have fun with them.
