Jean just came back from the Com´in Lyon and tells us a little about the contest, and some stuff like his bike, his US trip, his life...
You can find the original French version of this interview on agoride.

Present yourself:
Jean Bulhon, 25 years old. I come from Paris and I live at Clermont ferrand now.
How long do you ride?
Almost 8 and half years now, with some cuts between.
Have you a favourite rider, or someone who inspire you?
A favourite rider no, but there are some riders I like to see ride. Viki, Matthias, Hiro, Simon O’Brien or Martti, each of them have their own style.
What do you think about the new French scene?
I think it´s very good, in first with the actual pro riders like Matthias, Alex, Raph, Romain, Joris or Fabien, always in progression. But with the next generation in master class too. They progress really fast and we´ll have new pro rider soon. Proud of all of them.
Let’s talk about parts now, could you tell us a little bit more about KOXX/A BAD THING? We heard so many different things since pandas left the team; can you tell us what´s going on? What are your projects and the evolution of the brand with the parts and the team?
KOXX is a French brand and A bad thing is the flat range of KOXX. I´m on the pro team for 1 year now. Raph, Matthias and Alex left the team few months after. Initially A bad thing was collaboration between them and KOXX, so its normal people are thinking without them the brand will stop, but no she still exist. I’m just the last one on the team. The brand is still in the idea of offering quality parts that follow the currents trends and now can be offered at very competitive prices. Regarding the team, as I said before I’m the last one for the moment, but I would like to make a new team, I have to talk about that soon. If it’s OK, I have already few names...
Are there any parts you will work to design or design yourself?
Not for the moment, but I’ll be happy to design some parts, even I will don´t revolutionize the design, maybe in 2012 who know.
I bet my pants you would sign with SuperB** with your level and you know Matthias very well. He has not proposed it to you or you have refused?
Matthias is my homie, he proposed me nothing with superb** then I refused anything. SUPERB** has already a pro team with so many killers so I did not expect a proposition. I know he wanna make a French flow team, if he propose to me will be cool, I will appreciate it and I’m sure he let me know. If not, I don´t care; he´ll still be my friend.
Do you have sponsors? Are you looking for others?
Yes I have KOXX with “A bad thing”, K-124 Clermont and k-124 Lyon, Chiky underwear, and Crazyriders for clothes and the party ahah! huge thanx to them. if im looking for others ? yes !

Your opinion on the new trend that is to mix the street and the flat. Evolution or just a mode?
Even if the style is not new, I vote for the evolution, put street style in flat combo I like it. Now riders do it with more style than before. then the mode comes and comes back, so we don´t know how long it will remain.
Your next contest?
I travelled a lot this year: V.U, Circle COW, Ninja spin, Caen, bam jam, Bike days, Red bull contest to Indianapolis, FISE, Barcelona, and City voice. This year I’ll move on all the French contest and I’ll try to move as much as I could, Indianapolis, Voodoo jam… I just came back from the Com´in Lyon.
Your impression about the Com in Lyon?
A great event one more time, all best French riders were here, a smaller crowd than other years, but really enthusiastic. We have a new French pro rider with Quentin, its cool. Big up to Alex for his victory and to the organizers who did a great job this week end. The highlights of this weekend: I think the song of Matthieu Chauvirey´s run which was just...I can´t describe it ahah; and the Saturday night party more than validated with guys; I cant tell his name (he works at K-124 Lyon and was the last rider of the month), who try to fight trees and try to race stones on the way back...see you next year!

Tell us more about your RED BULL US trip.
I moved to Indianapolis with Matthias for the red bull contest. Was my first time to US and was amazing. Fast food, big trucks, mechanical bulls and shooter. Alex jointed us the Saturday from L.A. strange to see American riders for real, with their own style.
Matthias win the contest, Alex killed his routine. Terry Adams would have preferred touch the floor with his mouth rather than his foot ahah with crazy moves. I thought I wasn´t qualified, then I accepted a seller of jack Daniels paid me, one or two drinks, bad idea with 40°C, so my final run was a little bit funny.
The next day du contest was the 500 miles of Indianapolis and red bull offered us tickets, was insane! This trip was so US ahah! Huge big up to Allan Young, Matthias, Alex, Micky and Dominik Nekolny.
About Clermont, what´s up? New riders? How is the scene since few last years?
Moving easy but surely, one new rider is here and so motivate, and another one is come back, I ride every day and very often with my friend Rodolphe Clavelier who still kill it, finally we´re 5 riders in Clermont. There is a little contest I organize now since two years, the "BAM JAM", maybe a third edition this year. I do many shows downtown and around Clermont, I try to promote this sport as possible as I can, its cool cuz people appreciate to see that. And everybody is welcome to ride in Clermont.
Your next tricks?
Nose to nose ahah! Seriously I have few new combo, I try to be as original as possible with new jumps, new switch and new pivot. I´m filming a new edit so I hope put it on the web soon.
Something else with the bike?
English faculty, party, chill, dominos pizza and K-124 Lyon.
Do you have a rant to express? Something that bothers you in French flat or abroad?
Not really.
Why are you happy and proud to do this sport today?
I move every where, I meet so many different peoples and I have so much great time with flatland, so I couldn´t trade that for nothing. I feel peoples like this sport more and more, they realize how much this sport is difficult. I see it when I make shows or when I practice on my spot every day, peoples stop in front of me, look at me, ask me something about flatland and go back happy.
People to thank?
Of course, K-124 Clermont, Koxx, Crazyriders, Chiky, all my friend from I2S, Matthias, Alex, Raph, Remi 713, Kev l´afro, Rodolphe, all people I meet at the contest, and all I forget !
