The Open BMX Flatland Ukrainian Championship 2009 took place on the 6th of June 2009 in the city of Mykolayiv, Ukraine. The Championship became the place of hot battles for 20 participants from the Ukraine and Russia. The event was initiated by the Ukrainian youth organization “Alter-Sport” and was supported by the Department for Families and Youth of the Mykolayiv regional state administration and Department for Families, Children and Youth of the Mykolayiv regional city administration.
One of the goals of Open BMX Flatland Ukrainian Championship 2009 was to promote healthy life-style among youth through their participation in sport as well as to show Ukrainian hospitality, culture and traditions to international participants. During the competition citizens of Mykolayiv and guests of the city had a unique opportunity to observe professionalism and incredible stunts of the riders. The Championship was judged by Daniel Fuhrman, a guest-judge from Germany. This year event included several new features that were not present during the last two championships: separate competitions for professionals and amateurs as well as a special competition for female riders.
After the intense day of Championship Proshin Alexei from Moscow became the winner in the PRO category. Zonov Dmitriy from Himki (Russia) and Supryaha Sergey from Cherkassy (Ukraine) won second and third places subsequently. The first place in the Amateur category was awarded to Savvateev Evheniy from Cherkassy (Ukraine). Plotnikov Kirill from Yalta (Ukraine) won the second place and Zimin Vitaliy from Kiev (Ukraine) took the third. Dmitrenko Anastasiya from Odessa (Ukraine) became the only participant and the only winner in the category for girls.
Championship 2009 was a success and we have already started to work on Ukrainian Championship 2010. So, we cordially invite you to attend our next BMX Flatland Ukrainian Championship in 2010!!!
